TACT concludes its 2016 - '17 season with its 7th annual newTACTics New Play Festival, a fresh collection of four unpredictable and engaging new works. The original plays at newTACTics always invite you to expect the unexpected, and this year's offerings are no exception.

SportsCenter, ESPN's flagship since 1979, will launch a series of enhancements beginning next month and continuing through early 2018.

The Internet appears live on stage at New York West Village venue, The Duplex, on Sunday, June 4th as award-winning comedy songwriter Mike Hadge hosts a debut showcase concert for his new musical, MUSICAL DOT COM: A NEW MUSICAL (DOT) COMEDY.

For the first time in its 13-year history, Premiere Stages will provide expanded development to five new works in one season, including the New Jersey Premiere of Skeleton Crew, the third play in Dominique Morisseau's critically acclaimed Detroit cycle, and the first professional production of Chris Cragin-Day's heartwarming play, Foster Mom, winner of the 2017 Premiere Stages Play Festival. This season will also feature free developmental workshops of Patricia Cotter's 1980 (Or Why I'm Voting For John Anderson), runner-up for the 2017 Play Festival, and two exciting new play commissions, Nicole Pandolfo's Brick City, developed in cooperation with NJPAC and the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, and Martin Casella's Black Tom Island, recipient of the 2017/2018 Liberty Live Commission in partnership with Liberty Hall Museum. Tickets go on sale May 22.

James Levine, Christoph Eschenbach, Gustavo Dudamel, Susanna Malkki, Kent Nagano, a "virtual" Esa-Pekka Salonen, and three conductors making Chicago Symphony Orchestra debuts take the podium. 

ESPN will provide exclusive coverage of 11 NCAA Winter Championships beginning Friday, March 10, and continuing into April. The Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships (March 10-12) will be streamed on ESPN3 and then aired on ESPN2.

Carmen is often classed as one of the few elite works in the Western music tradition that occupies the mantle of collective cultural memory - and is performed unchanged. With a new English libretto by Alaina Viau, and with the collaboration of sound artist SlowPitchSound, Carmen will be presented not as a love story, but a class story. It is a gendered story, one that is driven by inequality and abuses of power-by conflict, struggle, and hope.
