Jackie French and Bruce Whatley's international best selling children's book DIARY OF A WOMBAT makes its way to Australian stages in a wonderful new production from Monkey Baa Theatre Company.

Rock icon and bestselling author, Jimmy Barnes, is about to head out on the road for the final leg of the Working Class Boy: An Evening of Stories & Songs tour and today he announced the very last 'Stories & Songs' show will be at Sydney's State Theatre on 12 April 2017.

The last time soprano Diana Damrau and tenor Javier Camarena appeared together at the Met, they reinvented the deadly Mary Zimmerman production of Bellini's LA SONNAMBULA and made it into something wonderful. Lovers of opera will be delighted with the opportunity to hear the incomparable voice of  international Mezzo-Soprano Deborah Humble who, accompanied by pianist Sharolyn Kemmorley AM and the ASO's Imants Larsens, performs in Adelaide on 11 February.  Deborah will join the audience for afternoon tea following the performance. which is included in the ticket price.

San Francisco Opera Center Director Sheri Greenawald today announced the thirteen recipients of the 2017 Adler Fellowship. Nine singers, three pianist/apprentice coaches and one director will take part in the program-a multi-year performance-oriented residency offering advanced young artists intensive individual training, coaching and professional seminars, as well as a wide range of performance opportunities. Adler Fellows are selected from the young artists who have participated in the Merola Opera Program. The prestigious fellowship has nurtured the development of more than 175 young artists since its inception.
