Following John Cameron Mitchell's confirmation that HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH would be heading to the West End, the Bechdels might soon be following suit.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee awarded John Cameron Mitchell the the 2015 Special Tony Award tonight - and in the press room, Mitchell revealed some big 'HEDWIG' news.

Originally based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film of the same name, it has successfully adapted to the stage.

The Off-Broadway hit Murder for Two opens tonight (June 3) in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater.  The production has now been extended through Sunday, August 2.

Center Theatre Group launches the First National Tour of Roald Dahl's 'Matilda The Musical' this Sunday, June 7 at 4 p.m. at the Ahmanson Theatre. Signature Theatre's What I Did Last Summer, written by A.R. Gurney and directed by Jim Simpson, will welcome Izzie Steele (The Heart of Robin Hood) in the role of 'Elsie' (previously played by Kate McGonigle) beginning tonight, June 2nd. The production runs through June 7 at The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Broadway In Chicago is pleased to announce that ONCE, winner of eight TONY AWARDS including Best Musical and winner of the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will return to Chicago to play the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W Randolph) for a limited one-week engagement from tonight, June 2 through June 7. Individual tickets for ONCE will go on sale at a later date.
