Today, the Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHoF) has announced some of the very special presenters who will help induct the 2018 class during a red-carpet gala and ceremony taking place November 8, 2018 at The Space at Westbury (250 Post Avenue, Westbury, New York). Presenters this year include six-time Grammy Award winner Billy Joel, VP of Columbia Records and the man who signed Michael Jackson - Ron Alexenburg, Senior Director of Music Programming at SIRIUSXM - Lou Simon, The Cowsills, Chuck D & DJ Chuck Chillout, Jackie (Jokeman) Martling, and Live Nation Promoter Christian McKnight, with more to be confirmed.

Today, Kathleen Hanna launches TEES 4 TOGO, a brand new, star-studded line of T-shirts designed by — and portraying designs of — Hanna and her friends. 100% of the profits go to Peace Sisters, a Pasadena-based non-profit that financially assists to fund local girls' school tuition costs in Dapaong, Togo West Africa, the hometown of current Pasadena resident and Peace Sisters founder, Tina Kampor. Each shirt is cozy, colorful, sweatshop-free, and costs $40 each—the amount it costs for a girl to attend school in Togo for an entire year, including books.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today it will produce the world premiere of MS. BLAKK FOR PRESIDENT co-written by ensemble members Tina Landau (SpongeBob Squarepants: The Broadway Musical) and Tarell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight, Academy Award) as the sixth production in the 2018/19 season. Conceived by Tina Landau, she also directs this true and untold Chicago story that will star Tarell Alvin McCraney in the lead role.
