There are three types of musical theatre lovers: Fan, Obsessed, and Stephen Cole. Stephen, who has had a wonderfully varied career as a lyricist and librettist, invited Rob & Kevin over to the musical theatre mecca he calls his apartment to talk about the craft of writing, meeting Merman, and how social media sites, like Facebook's Forgotten Musicals page, is uniting musical theatre fans from across the globe!

She was Arthur Miller's sister, a victim of the House Un-American Activities Committee, and one of New York's most respected actresses. Joan Copeland is a living legend whose career includes standing by for Vivien Leigh and Katherine Hepburn, sharing the stage with Danny Kaye, and bringing the words of her brother to vivid theatrical life.

Fyvush Finkel, 93 year old Broadway veteran, Yiddish Theater star, movie and TV actor was accompanied by his two sons Ian and Elliot Finkel and opened at the Metropolitan Room last night.  BroadwayWorld was there, along with many actors, musicians, and comics, who turned out to see the legendary performer take the packed room on an emotional musical journey with some hysterical humor, wonderful singing, and brilliant character acting by Mr. Finkel.  Ian Finkel who is billed as the world's greatest xylophonist, more then lives up to that title with his virtuoso exciting style, and along with powerful piano interpretations by Elliot Finkel, the show is a great musical experience.

In celebration of great American playwright Arthur Miller's centennial, Patricia Leonard will present acclaimed actress Joan Copeland in a rare reading of her brother's short story The Performance.

Members and past winners of the Dram Desk Award gathered to celebrate the organization's 65th Anniversary at a glittering party at Sardi's.

?Marking the 100th birthday of playwright Arthur Miller, Joan Copeland reminisced about her brother at The Lambs, America's first professional theatrical club, and was the only event in NYC featuring a relative of Miller.

Madison, author of Madeline Kahn: Being the Music, A Life (University Press of Mississippi, 2015), hosted a musical tribute to the late singing actress as part of Metropolitan Room's GONE TOO SOON series, produced by Joseph Macchia. Directed by three-time MAC Award-winner Peter Napolitano, The Music of Madeline Kahn, with music director Jeff Cubeta on piano, featured friends & colleagues of the comic legend, as well as performers who have been inspired by her.

Directed by Peter Napolitano, THE MUSIC OF MADELINE KAHN will feature several friends & colleagues of the comic legend, including her co-stars from Richard Rodgers' Two by Two, Walter Willison and Joan Copeland, with Lawrence Leritz, guest star on 'Cosby'. They will be joined by performers from theatre, cabaret & opera who have been inspired by Kahn, including Ann Harada (Avenue Q, "Smash"). Jeff Cubeta serves as music director. 

On Monday, July 27, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present the return of pianist/singer Steve Ross in "Steve Ross on Broadway." Steve's very special guest star was Tony winner Liliane Montevecchi. Jesse Bielenberg rounded out the sublime music on bass.
