Straight No Chaser Returning to The VETS, 12/1

Atlantic Records recording group Straight No Chaser has announced the release of their much-anticipated new album as well as details of a major North American tour. “THE NEW OLD FASHIONED” – the world famous a cappella group's fifth full-length release – arrives this October. The tour will return to The VETS in Providence on Tuesday, December 1st at 7:30pm. Tickets are on sale Friday, May 15th at 10am. Tickets are $59.50-$39.50 and can be purchased at www.thevetsri.com, by calling (401) 421.ARTS (2787) or in person at the PPAC/The VETS Box Office located at 220 Weybosset St. The VETS is located at One Avenue of the Arts in Providence. The VETS on-site Box Office is only open on show days.

Ms. Burnett, as the Academy's Cabaret Creative Contributor, and Ms. Horne, Voice Program Director, will instruct Music Academy Voice Fellows in the art of musical comedy, both in private classes and individually. The renowned Summer School and Festival, now in its 66th season, runs through August 10 in scenic Santa Barbara.

The Sacramento Music Circus production of Monty Python's 'Spamalot,' opening at the Wells Fargo Pavilion on July 9, will mark a few firsts. It will be the first time a regional theatre has been given the rights to produce the Tony Award-winning best musical. It will also be the first time the musical has been produced in the round. And significantly for the region's largest arts organization, it will be the first time in its history that California Musical Theatre has hosted a regional theatre premiere. But among the firsts, there is another milestone. 'Spamalot' will be the 500th opening night for Music Circus at the corner of 15th and H Streets.
