Friday, April 24 at 9:00 pm there will be a special performance at Stage 72 at The Triad, 158 West 72 Street (just off Broadway) of a new musical entertainment: "All About That Face".  The show stars Courtney Cheatham, Amelia Hart, Roxy Reynolds, and Eva Richards. The evening is a fresh cabaret about love, the guys who didn't text, and the prince who did! A night of Showtunes and pop favorites. Created by Phil Hall, who is also the musical director and accompanist.  

HERE's Dream Music Puppetry Program presents Short Stories. This production from the internationally acclaimed Teatro Hugo & Ines plays 6 performances from today, April 21 - Saturday, April 25 in the Dorothy B. Williams Theatre at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue).

Items to be auctioned have been donated from Steve Whitmire's private collection of Jim Henson-related memorabilia gathered throughout more than 37 years as a core performer in nearly every Muppet project produced for numerous television series, theatrical motion pictures, television specials and albums. All "Whitmire's Wonders" auction proceeds go toward the funding of the new Museum to house the Jim Henson Collection at the Center for Puppetry Arts.

Dixon Place's new commission THE FLATIRON HEX, starring Award-winning puppeteer/performance & visual artist James Godwin, will have its world premiere on Friday, May 15th. A 2014 Jim Henson Award recipient, Godwin utilizes remarkable puppets, masks & mystical neo-noir visuals to tell a story set in a parallel, near-future NYC filled with ghosts, elemental spirits & evil demigods. THE FLATIRON HEX will play six performances only -- May 15th, 16th, 22th, 23th, 29th, and 30th at 7:30PM, at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street).

Z2 Entertainment will present Waka Flocka Flame with Ben G & special guests at the Fox Theatre on Thursday, May 7th, 2015. Tickets are on sale April 10th for $25 advanced, $27.50 day of show or $55 VIP meet & greet.

The Center for Puppetry Arts' renovation and expansion, set to be completed in fall 2015, will include the new “Worlds of Puppetry” Museum, featuring the most comprehensive collection of Jim Henson puppets and artifacts in the world. In support of the Center's expansion, the family of Jim Henson has commissioned master printer Andrew Mockler to create three original lithographs of Henson's striking artwork: “Conceit,” “Melancholy” and “Hilarity.”

The popular Emmy Award nominated PBS KIDS series Dinosaur Train will come to life on the stage in a big way with Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train - Live! Buddy's Big Adventure at the Raymond. F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach on Saturday, May 9 at 10 am and 1 pm.

A new MUPPETS SHOW pilot is currently in development for ABC, according to a tweet from Production Weekly.

The series will debut on Disney Channel with four shorts premiering TODAY, APRIL 3 (8:25 a.m., 8:55 a.m., 9:25 a.m. and 9:55 a.m., ET/PT) and a new short airing daily through Today, May 8. New shorts will continue to rollout throughout 2015 and will also be available on WATCH Disney Junior.

Though it has served as a cultural landmark in Atlanta for more than 35 years, the Center for Puppetry Arts has discovered possibly definitive proof that its beloved Midtown site has always been a home for puppets. Earlier this month, while crews were working on a highly anticipated renovation and expansion project to build a new Museum, a discovery was made of a previously unknown and obviously very old puppet.

?Julia Edwards' World Premiere play, untethered is a wacky new love story, not the Hallmark variety, the messy, screwing up, begging for mercy kind. Untethered is directed by Jen Bloom, featuring Joy Osmanski and Adam J. Smith, and features original music by Steven Kai van Betten.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will star in and produce a movie adaptation of Jim Henson's 1980s TV series FRAGGLE ROCK.
