Sony Music is pleased to announce the release of the Kick-Ass 2 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Featuring new music by Jessie J, James Flannigan, DJ Fresh, Lemon and others, the soundtrack is available via all digital service providers on August 13 and on CD August 20.

The award winning Foothill Music Theatre swings for the fences this summer with the Tony Award-winning musical DAMN YANKEES. With book by George Abbott and Douglass Wallop, DAMN YANKEES, the musical story of a baseball fanatic who makes a deal with the devil to get his team a chance at the pennant, features a memorable Richard Adler and Jerry Ross score including 'Whatever Lola Want, Lola Gets,' and (You've Gotta Have) 'Heart.' 20th Century Fox has formed a joint venture with top Broadway producer and Tony Award winner Kevin McCollum (Motown, Rent, Avenue Q, In the Heights), prolific film producer John Davis (Predator, The Firm, Grumpy Old Men, I Robot, Chronicle) and leading industry executive Tom McGrath, to develop live stage productions based upon the studio's vast library of films.

Singer Nicole Dillenberg stars in a one-woman cabaret style concert that pays tribute to Hollywood star Alice Faye at a 2 PM matinee performance today, June 30th at Arthur Newman Theatre in The Joslyn Center in Palm Desert. Ms. Faye lived in Rancho Mirage and passed away May 9, 1998 at the age of 83. In 'Yes To You', Nicole Dillenberg will tell stories about Alice Faye's long and illustrious career and personal life including her marriage to Phil Harris and Tony Martin.

The Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF) announced today confirmed speakers added to the 2013 Fall Festival, which will explore the theme of 'Animal: What makes us human?' Speakers announced include Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler), author of A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS; Jonathan Safran Foer, author of EVERYTHING IS ILLUMINATED, EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE, and EATING ANIMALS; Anne Carson, poet and fiction writer; Ana Maria Martinez, Latin Grammy Award-winning soprano; Mark Dion, pioneering conceptual artist; Tracey L. Meares, Yale Law Professor and authority on crime prevention and community capacity building; Barbara Natterson-Horowitz and Kathryn Bowers, authors of ZOOBIQUITY: THE ASTONISHING CONNECTION BETWEEN HUMAN AND ANIMAL HEALTH; and Craig Packer, leading expert on African wildlife and founder of the Serengeti Lion Project.

According to a recent interview with ABC Classic FM, stage and screen star Angela Lansbury will return to Broadway in Fall 2013 in a revival of THE CHALK GARDEN. An official announcement has not yet been made. Lansbury revealed on the podcast: 'A rather exciting event coming up in the fall is a new production of The Chalk Garden by Enid Bagnold. It's a lovely play. Wonderful role, Mrs. St. [Maugham]. We're going to do that on Broadway- so if you're in New York, I hope you'll come and see it.'
Universal Pictures Picks Up Rights to DUMB AND DUMBER Sequel

According to EW.com Universal Pictures has come to the rescue for the planned sequel to the 1994 comedy DUMB AND DUMMBER. The studio has acquired the North American distribution rights for 'Dumb and Dumber To,' which will once again star Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.

DUMB AND DUMBER Sequel Dropped by Warner Bros.

EW.com reports that Warner Bros Studio has dropped plans to develop a sequel to the 1994 hit comedy DUMB AND DUMBER. The project had been in the works at New Line Cinema.
