The Improv Standup Comedy Club & Dinner Theatre is opening in Atlanta with a bang. The Improv perhaps best known for its A&E network show An Evening at the Improv will open in the prestigious Buckhead nightlife destination, Andrews Entertainment District, tonight, October 4th, 2012. Headlining the Atlanta Improv opening is comic legend Louie Anderson who made his television debut on the 'The Tonight Show' in 1984 with Johnny Carson.

The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF), in association with COMEDY CENTRAL, has announced more than 70 additional shows taking place at more than 25 venues throughout New York City, now added to its 2012 schedule, highlighted by two events in partnership with The Paley Center for Media: a reunion of the creative minds behind the landmark TV series The Ben Stiller Show and a Conversation with Denis Leary in celebration of his new publication Merry F***in' Christmas.

Wayne Knight Set to Play 'Santa' in Broadway-Bound ELF!

Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features and Jujamcyn Theaters announced today that television icon Wayne Knight will star as Santa in the hit musical ELF. Knight, currently starring in TV Land's "The Exes," is perhaps best known to audiences as Jerry Seinfeld's arch nemesis "Newman" on the Emmy Award-winning hit comedy "Seinfeld." Knight's credits also include Jurassic Park, Toy Story 2, Space Jam and "3rd Rock from the Sun," among many others.

Appearing this weekend: SHANE MAUSS September 20 - 23- Shane Mauss was just back with Team Coco in March for his fourth appearance (first appearance on the new show). You can also hear him regularly on The Bob and Tom Show. In 2010, Shane had his first TV special Comedy Central Presents: Shane Mauss and released his first CD Jokes To Make My Parents Proud with Comedy Central Records, which was named in the Top 10 Albums of 2010 by Punchline Magazine. Originally from La Crosse, WI, Shane Mauss moved to Boston in 2004 (at the supple, tender age of 23) to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a standup comedian. In less than three years, Shane caught his big break when he was awarded Best Standup Comic at HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival in 2007. Shane's TV credits include three appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, Showtime's Comics Without Borders, Two appearances on BBC's The World Stands Up, and in what is easily his strangest television appearance to date: Playboy TV's Night Calls. Shane has been in several comedy festivals around the world including The Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, The Comedy Central South Beach Comedy Festival, The Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in Kilkenny, Ireland, The Sydney Comedy Festival, and The Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival.

Milo Ventimiglia Executive Produces and Stars in New Crackle Series CHOSEN, Winter 2012/13

Crackle, the multi-platform entertainment network, announced the Los Angeles-based production of its new original series 'Chosen,' starring Milo Ventimiglia ('Heroes'). Ventimiglia will executive produce along with creators Ben Ketai (30 DAYS OF NIGHT: DARK DAYS) and Ryan Lewis (HIGH SCHOOL, FAT KID RULES THE WORLD). Ketai also wrote and will direct the series which is slated to premiere this winter across all Crackle platforms. Additional talent attached to the action thriller include Diedrich Bader (OFFICE SPACE, NAPOLEON DYNAMITE), Nicky Whelan (HALL PASS, HALLOWEEN II), Brett Davern ('Awkward') and Katrina Law ('Spartacus: Vengeance'), among others.
