The 5th Avenue Theatre is proud to present the second annual NextFest: A Festival of New Musicals. The company's rehearsal halls will be brimming with activity this fall as new musicals take shape in readings and intensives, brought to life by local and Broadway talents.

Orlando Repertory Theatre (The REP), in partnership with UCF, is proud to announce it's 2016 - 2017 Season! The REP is Orlando's premiere and Florida's only professional theatre for families and young audiences, and has staged recent box-office hits such as Rudolph The Red-Nosed The Musical and Junie B. Jones The Musical!

Kerry Butler (Disaster!), Lilli Cooper (Spongebob), Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal), Eric Michael Gillett (Kiss Me, Kate), Jillian Gottlieb (Unlock'd), F. Michael Haynie (Wicked, Dogfight), Ryann Redmond (If/Then, Bring It On), Conor Ryan (John & Jen), Allie Trimm (13, Bye, Bye Birdie), and Hannah Zazzaro complete the lineup for the 7th edition of Cutting-Edge Composers at Feinstein's/54 Below tonight, May 10, 2016.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City.   The Ridgefield Playhouse and Ridgefield Academy Family Series invite you to join the inquisitive, lovable little monkey Curious George, star of books, movies and the award winning PBS television show in a delightful new musical - Curious George: The Golden Meatball on Saturday, May 7 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. 

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents the 7th edition of Cutting-Edge Composers. Cutting-Edge Composers is a concert series that strives to create greater exposure for up-and-coming songwriters by providing them with venues, publicity, Broadway performers, and musicians to best showcase their material. Cutting-Edge Composers is directed and produced by Laura Pietropinto, co-produced by Allie Glickman, and features musical direction by Benjamin Rauhala and orchestrations by Rauhala and Julie McBride.

Theatreworks USA (Barbara Pasternack, Artistic Director; Ken Arthur, Producing Director) will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series Sunday April 24th, with their acclaimed production,  Skippyjon Jones Snow What (& the 7 Chihuahuas). 

Theatreworks USA will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series this Sunday April 3rd, with Henry and Mudge? was adapted by bookwriter/lyricist Kait Kerrigan and composer/lyricist Brian Lowdermilk (Jonathan Larson Award-winners) and is based on the best-selling books by Cynthia Rylant, illustrated by Sucie Stevenson. Henry and Mudge premiered Off-Broadway in July 2006 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. This 60-minute musical is recommended for ages 4 and up.

Theatreworks USA will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series this Saturday March 26th, with Seussical, a condensed one-act version for young audiences of the Broadway musical, adapted from the works of Dr. Seuss, the Off-Broadway premiere of Seussical was nominated for Outstanding Revival by the Lortel Awards in 2008

Theatreworks USA (Barbara Pasternack, Artistic Director; Ken Arthur, Producing Director) will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series Saturday, March 19th, with Junie B.'s Essential Survival Guide To School, the New York premiere of the new children's musical based on the best-selling series of books by Barbara Park(published by Random House Books for Young Readers), penned by Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich (Ever After, Dear Edwina). Featured in the cast are Lizzy Brooks, Gino Chaviano, Michelle Croll, Charles Engelsgjerd, and Annabelle Fox.

Midtown Direct Rep (MDR) concludes its 2015-16 Theater in the Loft series at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) with a staged reading of BLINK, written by Kate Moira Ryan and directed by Mark Armstrong.

Theatreworks USA will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series this Sunday, March 13th, with Page Turner Adventures' THE MIXED-UP FAIRY TALE - hilarious storytelling with a touch of vaudeville, featuring Riley Roam as "World Famous Storyologist" Page Turner and former Ringling Bros. clown Kenny Mikey as her bumbling assistant.

Theatreworks USA will continue its 2016 weekend family performance series this Saturday, February 27th, with Charlotte's Web, a play by Joseph Robinette based on the Newbery Medal-winning book by E.B. White (Stuart Little, Trumpet of the Swan) with an incidental music score by Jeffrey Lunden (winner of the Lortel Award, Rodgers Award, and Jonathan Larson Award, and composer of Theatreworks USA productions of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Little Prince, and The Great Railroad Race). This 60-minute play is recommended for audiences age 5 and up.
