Midtown Direct Rep (MDR) is delighted to present its second reading of its 2017-1018 staged reading series, Theater at The Woodland, with a presentation of FEAR, written by Matt Williams and directed by Mark Armstrong. This event will be performed for one night only on Sunday, December 3rd at 7:00pm at The Woodland (60 Woodland Rd. Maplewood, NJ), where MDR is the resident theater company. The reading is $20 (advance purchase), $25 (if purchased at the door) and open to the public. Student/Senior discounts are also available. Tonight, April 24, A Little New Music returns to the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood to present their 14th evening of artists performing new and unheard musical theatre pieces in a classic cabaret setting, with hosts Barrett Foa, (B'way: AVENUE Q, SPELLING BEE, TV: 'NCIS:LA') and ALNM founding producer, Christopher Maikish.

Midtown Direct Rep (MDR) is excited to announce a new partnership with the Township of Maplewood. Beginning with the 2016-17 season, MDR will present its staged readings and other productions as the resident theater company of The Woodland (60 Woodland Rd. in Maplewood, NJ). MDR's newly named staged reading series, "Theater at The Woodland", will take place in the Parlor, and larger productions, such as the well-known annual event Listen To Your Mother, will be held in the Great Hall.

New York songwriting team, Jeff Thomson and Jeremy Desmon are each multi-award-winning theater artists, whose partnership has yielded all kinds of musical magic. The talented duo have teamed up on the full-length musicals 'Pump Up the Volume', 'The Oliver Experiment' and their latest commission, an all-new musical comedy based on famed teen super sleuth, Nancy Drew. Now they're bringing some of their favorite tunes to the Left Coast, with a show at Rockwell Table & Stage for one night only, September 28th 8:00pm.
