The Vineyard Theatre announced today that, due to demand, the world premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' newest play GLORIA will extend its limited engagement by two weeks and will now close on July 18.

Amazon Studios just celebrated the premiere of its highly-anticipated dramatic comedy series, Mozart in the Jungle. Mozart in the Jungle draws back the curtain at the New York Symphony, where artistic dedication and creativity collide with mind games, politicking and survival instincts. Based on the critically acclaimed memoir Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music by Blair Tindall, the series is seen through the eyes of a young oboist, Hailey (Kirke), who tries to navigate through the egos and eccentricities of a world renowned orchestra, and new conductor Rodrigo (Bernal), an enfant terrible whose PASSION for music threatens the plans of the orchestra's old guard. New performing arts-centric Amazon series Mozart in the Jungle was officially picked up to series by Amazon following its audience popularity earlier this year and filming is now underway on the first season of the show, featuring appearances by Broadway notables Bernadette Peters and Constantine Maroulis, among others.

The old way to order food delivery or takeout consisted of keeping a stack of paper menus from local restaurants that deliver, somewhere in the house. When one was hit by a craving for Thai food, pizza or empanadas one would rummage through those menus, place many phone calls and order by phone.

The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival is the city's first event of its kind celebrating the genre. The organizers behind the event which takes place in Brooklyn from from December 7-9, 2012 are excited to preview the award-winning films before their anticipated screenings. From the minds of talented filmmakers the festival brings forth the wisdom of worlds unlike anything seen before and showcase the possibilities of what science fiction offers.

Miller aka DJ Spooky, is a screening of the classic 1956 Korean film Madame Freedom accompanied by a live performance-by violinist Jennifer Kim and cellist Danielle Cho, with electronic music-of an original score created in 2007 by Miller, on Friday, October 26, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Met's Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium. The event will also be livestreamed over the Museum's website (www.metmuseum.org).
