BET Networks is keeping their word that "they got you." The network revealed this morning that multi Grammy Award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Stevie Wonder, will bring the house down during one of the multiple show-stopping performances spread throughout the show paying homage to Prince at the 16th annual "BET Awards".

On today's LIVE with Kelly, broadcasting icon Oprah Winfrey discussed presenting at this year's Tony Awards and Broadway's THE COLOR PURPLE, which took home the Tony for Best Revival of a Musical.

Broadway's Kristin Chenoweth took to Twitter today to announce the exciting news that she will portray Velma Von Tussle in NBC's live broadcast of HAIRSPRAY.

On this morning's TODAY it was announced that newcomer Maddie Baillio has been cast as teenager Tracy Turnblad in NBC's HAIRSPRAY LIVE. Harvey Fierstein, who will reprise his Tony Award-winning role as Edna Turnblad, introduced his fictional daughter and shared that he is currently working on the script which he says may be a little different than the film and stage version of the show. Harvey Fierstein, set to reprise his Tony-winning role as Edna Turnblad on screen in NBC's HAIRSPRAY LIVE! welcomed newcomer Maddie Baillio to the cast this morning on NBC's 'TODAY.'

On this morning's TODAY, HAIRSPRAY LIVE's Harvey Fierstein announced that his fictional teenage daughter Tracey will be played by Maddie Baillio!

It was announced today by ABC, the telecast home of this year's Emmys, and by the Television Academy. In addition, Mischer Productions' Charlie Haykel and Juliane Hare are set to return as co-executive producers of the awards telecast. As previously announced, Jimmy Kimmel (host of the “64th Primetime Emmy Awards” in 2012) will return to host this year's star-studded event, live from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 (7:00-11:00 p.m. EDT/4:00-8:00 p.m. PDT), on the ABC Television Network.

Cynthia Erivo has won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her role as Celie in THE COLOR PURPLE.

THE COLOR PURPLE has won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. The original production ran on Broadway in 2005 and earned eleven 2006 Tony Awards nominations.
