Manhattan Musical Theatre Lab announces it second presentation for 2014-25 : The brand new musical comedy SUPER HERO on Thursday, November 20th at 6:30pm at The Snapple Theatre Center, 210West 50th, 4th Floor, just west of Broadway.

STAGES St. Louis has announced casting for the 2014 'American Dream' season. The multifaceted lineup includes; They're Playing Our Song, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, and Fiddler On The Roof. This season's exceptional talent celebrates the realization of the American Dream as explored through unique challenges of seeking fame, amassing monetary success, and cherishing family traditions. New works hub New York Theatre Barn is teaming up with the Tony® and Drama Desk Award-winning BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop to take a trip down memory lane by presenting an evening of 'assignment songs' from BMI alumni. Hosted by BMI Fun Committee members Kate Anderson,Timothy Huang and Sara Wordsworth, 'Your Holiday Assignment is….' will take place today, December 16, 2013 at 7:30 PM at the D-Lounge of the Daryl Roth Theatre in New York City as part of New York Theatre Barn's revolutionary new musical development platform NYTB in the D-Lounge, produced by Laura Brandel and Jason Najjoum. Patrick Cook, director of the Musical Theatre Workshop, is also producing.

Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) announces a one-show-only concert reading of their original musical The Flood, on Saturday, October 19th at 3pm. First developed by Prospect in 2000-2001, with a subsequent full production in 2006, the book, music and lyrics of this new musical are by founding company members Peter Mills and Cara Reichel. This special encore concert presentation will raise funds to support Prospect's work developing new musicals by emerging writers. The concert is directed by Cara Reichel and music directed by Daniel Feyer.

Marcus Stevens and Natalie Charle Ellis, recently of Forbidden Broadway: Alive and Kicking, are just two of the Broadway and Off-Broadway luminaries who will appear in Dorks, Drunks, and Dinosaurs: The Songs of Jeff Bienstock on October 21st at the Laurie Beechman Theater. Stevens will also be taking on directorial duties as he and his former co-star take part in an evening of music and lyrics by the multifaceted and award-winning Bienstock.

Prospect Theater Company has announced that their Off-Broadway production of UNLOCK'D has been extended through July 20, 2013.

Prospect Theater Company will offer a $20 ticket lottery for their upcoming Off-Broadway production of UNLOCK'D. Performances began June 16, 2013 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. Producers have also announced that a post-performance talkback with Carner and Gregor will be held following tonight's June 19 performance.

Prospect Theater Company presents its annual gala, 2013's Spring Soiree, in the Harbor View Room at Battery Gardens, a beautiful and unique waterside location nestled at the southernmost corner of Battery Park. This special one-night only event will be held on Monday, May 6 from 6pm - 10:30pm, with an 8pm concert performance, to feature performances by Broadway friends as well as Prospect stars! Guests will be treated to a sneak peek of songs from upcoming 2013 - 2014 Prospect productions, as well as encore performances from previous Prospect shows. The evening's line up of writers includes work by Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, Marisa Michelson and Joshua H. Cohen, Peter Mills, and Ryan Scott Oliver, among others.
