Today, July 4th, America's national Independence Day celebration kicks off our country's 236th birthday, as A CAPITOL FOURTH on PBS welcomes a brand new host, Emmy Award-winning television personality Tom Bergeron. Hot off another winning season as host of the hit TV series, DANCING WITH THE STARS, Bergeron will lead an all-star cast in a patriotic evening of unrivaled musical performances, topped off by the greatest display of fireworks anywhere in the nation. The multi award-winning event will feature acclaimed Broadway and television star Megan Hilty (SMASH); singer-songwriter Javier Colon (winner of THE VOICE); R&B superstars Kool & The Gang; four time Tony-nominated Broadway star Kelli O'Hara; the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Jack Everly; plus a tribute to Team USA honoring the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams (additional talent to be announced). Broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, A CAPITOL FOURTH will air live in HD on PBS tonight, July 4, 2012 from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET (check local listings) before a concert audience of hundreds of thousands, millions more at home, as well as to our troops serving around the world on the American Forces Network. The program can also be heard live in stereo over NPR member stations nationwide.

NBC was the network to beat for the fourth consecutive night thanks to its coverage of the 'U.S. Olympic Team Trials' and an expanded AMERICA'S GOT TALENT.

Talk Show Listings for Tuesday, July 3

NBC's AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, the number one show of the summer, began broadcasting live two nights a week from its brand new home at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Monday, July 2nd (9-11 pm ET) and tonight, July 3rd (9-10 pm ET). AGT kicks off its first live results show of the season with a special performance tonight, July 3rd from seven-time Grammy Award winner, will.i.am, where he will make the primetime network debut of his new single, 'This Is Love,' featuring Eva Simons. In addition to will.i.am, Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil, the visually stunning acrobatic spectacular that blends circus arts with the surreal, will perform a specially choreographed act on Tuesday's results show.

Kat Edmonson's sophomore album Way Down Low is out now. Self-released on Kat's label Spinnerette Records, the album debuted #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart and has sold over 10k albums in its first two months.

EPIX today announced a new monthly comedy showcase 'EPIX Comedy Unbound' kicking off with the EPIX Original Comedy Event Jim Norton: Please Be Offended on June 30.

ABC's 'Nightline' ranked as the No. 1 program in latenight during 2nd Quarter 2012 in all target demos: Total Viewers (3.843 million), Adults 25-54 (1.503 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.198 million), taking the top spot in back-to-back 2nd quarters, according to Nielsen Media Research.

NBC announced today that preeminent matchmaker Amber Kelleher-Andrews, relationship author Tracy McMillan and professional dating coach Matthew Hussey will join the innovative relationship series READY FOR LOVE, premiering in Winter 2012-13.
