The Menier Chocolate Factory's record-breaking, sold out production of La Cage Aux Folles has begun rehearsals for its transfer to the West End for a strictly limited season at the Playhouse Theatre previewing from 20th October, with press night on 30th October.

The Press Night for La Cage Aux Folles has once again been postponed until to January 9, 2008 at 8PM due to the continuing illness of leading man Douglas Hodge.

The Menier Chocolate Factory is delighted to announce that this year's Christmas extravaganza will be La Cage aux Folles. Tickets, which went on sale on September 4, are selling extremely fast. The show is breaking Box Office records at the Chocolate Factory and some performances are already sold out.

With so many big West End shows seeming like a severe case of the emperor's new clothes as they are either hastily put together juke box musicals or song and dance versions of films, it is wonderful to see something that is truly original.
