Nickelodeon and Masterworks Broadway recently announced that the Broadway-bound The SpongeBob Musical will release a cast album following a successful run at Broadway in Chicago's Oriental Theater.

Liz Byrne ('Baby It's You') and Christopher Rice ('The Book of Mormon', Youtube's #TAPPY) will host a bevy or beloved Broadway performers for a fun-filled cabaret where they reveal the most ridiculous songs from their pasts and rock out to the most embarrassing songs in their iTunes! With lots of laughter and lots of love, these artists come together to raise money for the OneOrlando Fund to provide aid to the victims of the Pulse tragedy and their families.

Original stars of Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man, Lindsay Nicole Chambers and Jason Michael Snow will return to the 777 Theatre for the first time to join THE SKIVVIES in their post-show performance tonight, July 30th, at 7PM.

As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, The SpongeBob Musical just announced casting for the Chicago engagement. Ethan Slater will make his Chicago debut in the role of the iconic SpongeBob Squarepants andLilli Cooper will play SpongeBob's close friend Sandy Cheeks. The cast will also feature Gaelen Gilliland, Curtis Holbrook, Stephanie Hsu, L'ogan J'ones, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Mark Ledbetter, Kelvin Moon Loh, Vasthy Mompoint, JC Schuster, Abby C. Smith, Jason Michael Snow. The SpongeBob Musical will begin performances on Tuesday, June 7th at Broadway in Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL). Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has chosen Ryann Redmond (Bring It On) and Jason Michael Snow (The Book of Mormon) to headline her soiree at The Duplex on January 14th. The eclectic evening will feature rising stars in stand-up, poetry, dance, songwriting, and performance art while Redmond and Snow accept creative dares that arise from Mme. M's insane imagination. A variety show with an avant garde twist, the Soiree is as unpredictable as the patroness herself.

Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award winner Lily Tomlin will make a special guest appearance next month in the 10th anniversary edition of Broadway Backwards. Also joining the lineup is Honeymoon in Vegas star Rob McClure, who will share hosting duties with Julie Halston from the current hit revival of You Can't Take It With You.
