The Academy of Country Music® announced today the first group of performers for the 54th ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS. Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Reba McEntire, Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton and George Strait will take the stage for can't-miss live performances at Country Music's Party of the Year®. The awards telecast, hosted by Reba McEntire, will air LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 8:00 PM ET / delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.

iHeartMedia and Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) announced today that the Backstreet Boys, Ella Mai, lovelytheband and Marshmello with special guest Lauv will perform at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards, plus Travis Barker and Yungblud will join Halsey as special guest performers. Previously announced performers include Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Garth Brooks, John Legend and Kacey Musgraves, with a special appearance by Taylor Swift. The Country Music Association honored the songwriters behind Country Music's biggest hits at the 10th annual CMA Triple Play Awards Tuesday, Feb. 19 during an intimate, industry luncheon at Marathon Music Works in Nashville. CMA Triple Play Awards recipients were honored for having penned three No. 1 songs within a 12-month period based on the Country Aircheck, Billboard Country Airplay and Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.

Producers Donna Gigliotti and Glenn Weiss today announced 11 key members of the production team for the 91st Oscars, which will air live on Sunday, Feb. 24, on ABC. It was previously announced that Weiss would be returning as director for his fourth consecutive year, while sharing producing duties with Gigliotti for the first time.

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum has announced Country music royalty and a fifty-one year member of the Grand Ole Opry, Jeannie Seely will be included in the opening of its first exhibition of 2019, American Currents: The Music of 2018, on Friday, March 8, 2019. The exhibit runs through Feb. 8, 2020.

Aaron Watson is set to make a rousing return to Nashville's iconic Ryman Auditorium on January 24, 2019.  As announced via Watson's socials this week, opening the marquee date is a songwriter in-the-round lineup featuring some of his native Lonestar state's songwriting royalty: Music Row hit makers Rodney Clawson, Liz Rose, and Tom Douglas.  

For an artist who started out playing DC's iconic Howard Theater and Atlanta's legendary Peacock, as well as getting his big break at Hollywood's famed Whiskey A Go Go, the only way to kick off one's 76th trip around the sun is to take it on the road.
