Jane Austen's most popular novel opens Theater at Monmouth's 2018 Summer Repertory Season adapted by Daniel Elihu Kramer as Pride@Prejudice.

Capital Stage and American Stage come together to share resources, artists, and talent for this production of Marjorie Prime by Jordan Harrison, who also wrote Maple & Vine, and writes for the Netflix Original Series Orange Is The New Black. Marjorie Prime was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 2015 and is directed by Capital Stage's own Founding Artistic Director, Stephanie Gularte. The production stars Capital Stage Associate Artists Janis Stevens (August: Osage County, Macbeth, Master Class) and Jamie Jones (August: Osage County, The Totalitarians, Tribes, Dinner with Friends). Stephanie Gularte founded Capital Stage in 2004, and served as Artistic Director for 10 years. She has now put together a creative team including both American Stage and Capital Stage artists for this production, which will have a run both in St. Pete (March 7 - April 1), as well as in Sacramento at Capital Stage (May 2 - June 3). Press Opening at Capital Stage will be Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 8:00 pm.

The Sunshine State and the Golden State join forces for this American Stage/Capital Stage Co-Production.This captivating sci-fi drama explores the mysteries of human identity and the limits - if any - of what technology can replace. It's the age of artificial intelligence and 86-year-old Marjorie is worried that her memory is fading. But when a mysterious and charming young visitor appears to help Marjorie uncover the intricacies of her past, questions emerge about the limits of technology and the possibility that memory might be a purely human invention. What would we remember, and what would we forget, if given the chance?

This summer, Theater at Monmouth celebrates wily, wicked, and wonderful women through classic literature's most fantastic females. From fierce matriarchs, unfaithful wives, and every Madonna in-between, Roar! The Year of the Woman spotlights the ladies who move mountains for their families, friends, and most importantly, themselves. Taking on tyrants, freeloaders, and faithless frauds these femme fatales fight for what they believe in, charting a course to a better world for their sisters and daughters.

With fine acting by Carey Urban and Ben Williamson, it captures life in the 2010's like few other plays.

Producing Artistic Director Michael Stevenson has chosen a selection of award winners, comedies and dramas that will examine the promises and perils of our future, and our ever-increasing pace of living in the 21st century. This new season of stories explores today's unanswered questions, and examines our place in a world of constant change and disruption.

Tennessee Williams' memory play, The Glass Menagerie, was a timely choice for Sacramento Theatre Company to revive this season. In today's political climate fraught with worry, the average American can relate to Tom Wingfield, who is living in a country on the precipice of war and trying to provide for his mother and sister while putting his own wanderlust on hold.

Highly regarded as one of Harold Pinter's masterpieces, and winner of the 1979 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play, Betrayal has enjoyed several successful productions and revivals around the world since its opening in London in 1978.

Betrayal will be the third production of Capital Stage's 2016-17 Season: Love + War, and will run from January 25 - February 26, 2017 with a Press Opening on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 8pm.

One of Shakespeare's best-loved history plays, Henry V, opened Friday July 23 at Maine's Theater at Monmouth in a stylish and stirring performance directed by Mark Mineart. Trimmed to a little over two hours, the production, nonetheless, keeps the architecture of the masterpiece and all the most famous speeches, and performed as it is by a strong ensemble, it achieves an immediacy and truthfulness.
