This summer, the Alley Theatre will produce Agatha Christie's Spider's Web during its popular ExxonMobil Summer Chills Series July 12 - August 14. In addition, the Alley is launching a new Summer Thrills Series inviting audiences to the concert musical - A Night With Janis Joplin - the first rock & roll theatre piece on the new Hubbard stage, August 19 - September 18, 2016. Known for her confessional lyrics and raspy, smoky vocals, Oscar and Grammy Award-winning American singer/songwriter Melissa Etheridge will perform her rock megahits including 'I'm the Only One,' 'Come to My Window,' 'I Want to Come Over,' and more.

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Garson Kanin's Born Yesterday, a delicious screwball classic, beginning performances June 3. Featuring Alley Company Members and directed by Jonathan Moscone, the play is the grand finale of the inaugural season in the newly renovated Hubbard Theatre.

He is now on the short list of the foremost rock photographers in the world, but back in 1968 Ethan Russell was a young aspiring American writer with a Nikon camera and photography hobby. He had studied at UC Davis and was now living in London. Mick Jagger asked him to take his picture, and the rest is history: within a few years, Ethan Russell became a multi-Grammy-nominated photographer, director, and author. Jagger noted, 'We trusted Ethan as an artist, which made him invisible to us, and which allowed his photographs to capture our most intimate moments.' On May 20, Ethan Russell will bring such moments to the Harris Center stage, along with his own story and phenomenal photographs. The presentation kicks off a six-week exhibit of Mr. Russell's work at the Bank of America Gallery within the Harris Center for the Arts.

 Tiffany Mann, of BET Network's "It's a Mann's World," joins Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma's upcoming production of DREAMGIRLS as Effie White. Tiffany is the daughter of Tamela Mann, gospel music singer and star of TNT's "Meet The Browns", BET's "It's A Mann's World," and Bounce TV's "Mann and Wife."

Playlist Seattle returns in April with the fourth in their ongoing series of music-inspired theatre.
