Three big musicals and an Arthur Miller classic will be released in November.

"April showers may come your way, they bring flowers that bloom in May!" So go the words of the old Tin Pan Alley song. When the days begin to get longer, and the daffodils work to pop up through the dirt, we know that spring is just around the corner. April is that gateway to birds singing, grass growing, and romance blooming. This month we look at spring and the season's sweet rains that give life to young love.

If, like me, you have any doubts in finding quality theatre being performed by local performers in an old firehouse, the company of The Drowsy Chaperone at Firehouse Theatre in Flower Mound is sure to convince you otherwise. Wagner College Theatre will present the Class of 2014's Senior Showcase on Monday March 31. The Showcase will be held at the Pershing Square Signature Theater from 6:30-7:30pm with a reception to follow. This event is for theater industry professionals and is not open to the public.

Last night, October 14th, 2010, Sing for Hope (www.singforhope.org) presented its annual gala to raise awareness and support for Sing for Hope's programs that mobilize professional artists in volunteer service to benefit schools, hospitals and communities. The event also raised funds for the 2011 return of Sing for Hope Street Pianos, a public art installation that brought 60 upright pianos to the streets of New York this past summer, and embodies Sing for Hope's mission of making art available to all.

For the sixth year in a row, the Wagner College Theater has been ranked by the Princeton Review among the top collegiate stage programs in the nation. The ranking appeared in the Princeton Review's 2011 'Best 373 Colleges' guide, which was released Aug. 3.
