The Caldwell Theatre Company has announced the latest installment of their Broadway Concert Series by producing the Stephen Sondheim, James Lapine classic 'Into The Woods,' after Caldwell's acclaimed concert of 'Sunday in the Park With George' by the same writing team.

Concluding the 2009-2010 Emerson Stage season is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's beloved musical, Into the Woods. Directed by Scott LaFeber for the Cutler Majestic Theatre April 22-24, this musical of fractured fairy tales wonders what happens after 'Ever After?'

With accolades pouring in for its current production of Sweeney Todd, Cygnet Theatre is excited to introduce its 'Playwright Companion Series' with a Concert Staging of Sondheim's Passion. This rarely staged musical, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, will feature some of Cygnet's finest artists and joins the list of other Sondheim works already produced or produced in staged-readings on Cygnet's stages. Directed by Kim Strassburger, Passion runs for two nights only - April 12th & 13th, 2010 at Cygnet's Old Town Theatre.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) announces Sherie Rene Scott starring in Everyday Rapture, the critically acclaimed new Broadway musical by Dick Scanlan & Sherie Rene Scott and directed by Michael Mayer.

Donna Murphy, Sutton Foster and Raúl Esparza will star in Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents' Anyone Can Whistle, the final New York City Center Encores! production of the 2009-2010 season. Anyone Can Whistle, running for five performances April 8 - 11, will be directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw with musical direction by Rob Berman.

Artistic Director of the internationally acclaimed Donmar Warehouse, Michael Grandage, today announced new details surrounding the new Donmar season through until February 2011 including. Casting has been announced for Polar Bears; David Leveaux has been pronounced director of Simon Gray's The Late Middle Class; von Kleist's The Prince of Homburg has been added to the season; new events in celebration of Sondheim's 80th birthday - in addition to the production of Passion - have been revealed; and Michael Grandage has been confirmed to direct Derek Jacobi in King Lear.

Piven Theatre Workshop will host a pre-show event in observance of Holocaust Remembrance Day on April 11, 2010 at 1:15PM, prior to the matinee performance of Number of People. Piven Theatre announces the extension of Emilie Beck's Number of People, directed by Emilie and featuring Piven Ensemble Member Bernard Beck. The production is adding a week of performances and now runs through April 18, 2010, at Piven Theatre Workshop, 927 Noyes Street, Evanston.
