The Evening Standard Theatre Awards, established in 1955, are presented annually for outstanding achievements in London Theatre, and this year's nominations longlist has just been announced. Sponsored by the Evening Standard newspaper, this year's shortlist will be revealed on October 24, and winners on November 13, 2016.

Children's Touring Partnership is delighted to announce, on Elephant Appreciation Day (22 September), the first UK Tour of Running Wild by Michael Morpurgo in an adaptation by Samuel Adamson, beginning at Chichester Festival Theatre on 10 February 2017. Michael Morpurgo's novel, based on a true story, is brought to life in this award-winning production, which has been described by critics as 'inspiring', 'evocative, 'imaginative' and 'life-affirming'.  Originally produced by Regent's Park Theatre and Chichester Festival Theatre, this epic production, complete with spectacular life-size puppets, tells an emotional and moving story of love, loss and loyalty and of living for the moment.

Sixty years young, last night the National Youth Theatre celebrated its storied past, buoyant present and - with a heartfelt plea for more financial support - essential future in a star-studded diamond gala at Shaftesbury Theatre. Those NYT participants who joined the company in this glittering anniversary year really lucked out, noted my companion, but it was hard to find a dull moment in decades of pioneering, diverse and life-changing work, as illustrated by this affectionate revue.

Finding Neverland, the enchanting Broadway musical set to soar on tour this fall, began rehearsals under the visionary direction of Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus. Speaking at the Deauville Film Festival over the weekend, Daniel Radcliffe told The Hollywood Reporter that he wouldn't rule out the possibility of reprising his iconic role of Harry Potter in a film adaptation of the new play HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD.

Broadway'sFinding Neverland, the magical story of how Peter became Pan, has forever departed the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 46th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue), sailing off for a First National U.S. Tour and forthcoming 2017 West End production. Finding Neverland opened on Broadway on April 15, 2015 and played 33 previews and 565 performances.

After 33 previews and 565 performances, the Broadway production of Finding Neverland takes its final trip to Neverland today. Original cast member, Jonathan Ritter, who has been with the production since its out-of-town tryout at the American Repertory Theater, posted a goodbye video on YouTube for fans of the show.
