The Music Hall's Writers in the Loft series will present the National Book Award-winning author of the bestseller The Good Lord Bird, James McBride with his first nonfiction work since his celebrated memoir The Color of Water. McBride's new book KILL 'EM AND LEAVE: Searching for James Brown and the American Soul is more than a book about James Brown. It is an unsettling metaphor for American life: the tension between North and South, black and white, rich and poor.

CBS's 60 MINUTES made the Top 10 again, drawing 10.24 million viewers to land at #6 for the week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for March 20.

Hartford Stage Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak has officially announced an electrifying cast of Broadway veterans for the premiere of the new musical ANASTASIA, which is inspired by the real life of Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov and the enduring mystery of her true identity. ANASTASIA plays May 12 through June 12, 2016.

The Apollo Theater in partnership with World Music Institute presents what has become an annual highlight, AFRICA NOW!. The celebrated event returns to the historic Apollo Theater (253 West 125th Street) on Saturday, March 26, at 8:00 p.m. for its fourth year spotlighting emerging and established artists of today's African music scene.

Bruce Hampton & Aquarium Rescue Unit, The Lee Boys) on piano.

 New Neighborhood's new development collaboration with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and Rattlestick West in LA. featured a reading of The Refuge Plays Trilogy: Protect the Beautiful Place, Walking Man, and Early's House, written by Nathan Alan Davis, on February 19, 2016, at the Women's Project Theater at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre in New York.
