Taproot Theatre Company announces the lineup for its 37th season that promises audiences laughter, wit, romance, trickery, reflection and ultimately downright enjoyable entertainment. Featuring a regional premiere, a clever twist on a beloved classic and new approaches to gripping ideas, this season will not disappoint. The Flea Theater commissioned Academy Award nominee Beau Willimon to adapt Henry Becque's La Parisienne for The Flea. Directed by Joel Schumacher and starring Ellen Barkin, The Parisian Woman is now set in contemporary Washington D.C. To what lengths will a woman go to advance the political career of her husband? The Parisian Woman tears the veil off adultery in this modern retelling of the scandalous affairs of a bored and intelligent wife left to her own devices.

The Flea Theater in association with Four Arts Media will present a groundbreaking new dramatic series comprised of original plays for radio and mobile media. Each of the 13 one-hour-long episodes will explore American life decade by decade from the early 20th century to the present. Says series creator, Arthur Yorinks, 'Each stand-alone play will be modern, edgy, raw and compelling.'

Sloan Foundation Initiative commissions for Manhattan Theatre Club. This year's six commissioned writers are April de Angelis (Jumpy), Nick Jones (The Coward), Heidi Schreck (Creature), Melissa Ross (Thinner Than Water), Sarah Treem (A Feminine Ending), and Bess Wohl (Barcelona).

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) has announced the U.S. release of The Oberon Anthology of Contemporary American Plays: Volume One, edited by Mark Subias, published by Oberon Books (London). This new volume brings together plays from four of the best young artists on the contemporary American playwriting scene. Volume One is introduced by André Bishop, Artistic Director of the Lincoln Center Theater, and each play is introduced by well-known and critically acclaimed writers.

Few people know the real story of football's most legendary coach, Vince Lombardi. Through his inspirations and passions, he had an ability to drive people to achieve more than they ever thought possible. Arizona Theatre Company's "Lombardi" centers on the iconic Green Bay Packers coach during a pivotal week in 1965. This Southwest premiere production of the Broadway hit plays at the Temple of Music and Art and runs from October 20 - November 10, 2012. After selling out almost all of its originally scheduled performances, The Flea Theater announces an extension of the New York premiere production of JOB, written by Thomas Bradshaw and directed by Flea Resident Director Benjamin Kamine. Previews began August 31, with opening night slated for Wednesday, September 19. Originally scheduled to end October 7, performances will now run through November 3.

Cleveland Play House opens its 98th consecutive season with its new production of the smash Broadway hit Lombardi. Bob Ari, seen last season as Mark Rothko in Red, returns to CPH to play the legendary coach who defined inspiration.
