Natalie Dew, Ian Gelder, Stella Gonet, Lisa McGrillis, Sargon Yelda and Ashley Zhangazha have been cast in Stef Smith's new play Human Animals. Rehearsals start on 18 April. Human Animals runs from 18 May 2016 to 18 June 2016 in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs. Press night is on Monday 23 May, 7pm.

Ian Gelder - Kevan Lannister in the epic TV drama series Game of Thrones - is to play Frankenstein director James Whale and Will Austin is gardener Clayton Boone, who becomes the object of Whale's obsession, in the world premiere of Gods and Monsters at Southwark Playhouse. Gods and Monsters, directed by Russell Labey, produced by Danielle Tarento, will receive its world premiere in a five-week season now through Saturday 7 March. Press night is 10 February. On Friday 15 March 2013 at 7pm, Digital Theatre's film version of Michael Attenborough's Almeida Theatre production of King Lear will have a fundraising screening at BAFTA's Princess Anne Theatre.

Digital Theatre today (12 February 2013) announces its next release - Tony and Olivier Award-winning actor Jonathan Pryce stars in Michael Attenborough's production of William Shakespeare's King Lear. The production, the second collaboration between Digital Theatre and the Almeida Theatre, was captured live in October 2012 during the play's sell-out run.
