Unleashed from the confines of commercial TV and radio, Artie Lange returns to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, November 7 at 8 p.m. as part of the Clark Construction Comedy Series, after a sold out show in 2014. One of the most sought after live comedians in the business, Lange began his career in the comedy clubs of New York City, where he helped to create the popular sketch comedy group 'Live on Tape', which landed him his debut television role as one of the original series regulars on FOX's “Mad TV.”

Where else to present a concert version of a new, original Broadway musical titled "Song Of Solomon than at the Actors' Temple. The historic building, constructed in 1923, has been designated a national landmark and the synagogue has been home to many of the greats in show business. Some of it's members and congregants were Al Jolson, Edward G. Robinson, Jack Benny, Milton Berle, Henny Youngman, Eddie Cantor and countless other lesser-known actors, comedians, singers, playwrights, composers, musicians, writers, dancers and theatrical agents. Academy Award winner Shelley Winters kept the High Holy Days in the Actors Temple. as well as The Three Stooges, and Harpo Marx who attended services. Ed Sullivan, whose wife Sylvia Weinstein was Jewish, was also a member.

Broadway & Cabaret Community Celebrate The Actors Temple in 2013 Concert Benefit Today

The Best of Broadway & Cabaret come out in support of the Actors' Temple, (est. 1917) tonight, Monday, November 18, 2013 at 7:00 PM. The Fourth Annual Concert Fundraiser will take place at the Temple, 339 West 47th Street. This musical celebration will benefit the theater district historic landmark which has been struggling to survive in recent years.
