Enda Markey will present his acclaimed production of Willy Russell's Blood Brothers at Melbourne's brand new theatre complex - Alex Theatre St Kilda - for a strictly limited three-week season beginning 14 July, following an extended Sydney season early this year, which sold-out at every performance, with plaudits from critics and audiences making it the talk-of-the-town. Giovedi 2 aprile e finalmente uscito in Italia il film 'INTO THE WOODS'. Dopo anni di attesa (la produzione del film e stata annunciata nel 2012), resa ancor piu insostenibile dallo spostamento della data d'uscita dal 25 dicembre (come negli Stati Uniti) al 2 aprile, anche noi poveri e sconsolati italiani possiamo godere di questo spettacolo. Per chi ancora non lo sapesse, 'Into The Woods' e un musical di Stephen Sondheim (musiche e testi) e James Lapine (libretto), che ha debuttato a San Diego nel 1986, per poi aprire a Broadway l'anno successivo. Vincitore complessivamente di 5 Tony Awards (tra il cast originale e il revival), 8 Drama Desks e, per le produzioni inglesi, 4 Olivier Awards, il musical s'ispira ai personaggi delle fiabe, tra cui Cappuccetto Rosso, Raperonzolo, Cenerentola e Jack (di Jack e il fagiolo magico). Le strade dei vari personaggi che animano questo mondo fiabesco s'intrecciano all'interno del bosco, simbolo della vita stessa, dove ognuno insegue il proprio desiderio.

Hayes Theatre Co Extends BLOOD BROTHERS

Blood Brothers, which starts performances on 6 February, has quickly become the fastest-selling show at the Hayes Theatre Co since the venue opened its doors. Due to this phenomenal demand for tickets an extra week of performances has been added, as well as some mid-week matinees throughout the season. Blood Brothers will now play until Sunday 15 March 2015. It is the first time a production has extended its run at Hayes Theatre Co and no further extension is possible.

Today also sees Digital Theatre announce a global virtual screening of the production at 7.30pm BST on Friday 27 September across all of Digital Theatre's platforms.
