The Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at the Detroit Opera House on Tuesday, December 15 for a limited holiday season engagement of two weeks through Sunday, December 27.

Set in 1962, in the picturesque Catskills mountains of New York, a group of heterosexual men escape from the City to spend their weekend dressed as women. In this cross dressing colony they leave their families, friends and city jobs behind to safely inhabit their female alter egos and release their inner woman. However when given the choice to share their secret lives with the world, the group have to decide whether the freedom gained by the openness is worth the personal risk. Based on real-life events, this delightfully insightful and hilariously entertaining piece gives us a glimpse in to the life of these 'self-made women' as they search for acceptance and happiness in a high heel.

Disney Theatrical Productions announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated New Orleans engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public on Friday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, the Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at the Saenger Theatre on Tuesday, Dec. 1, for a limited engagement of one week through Sunday, Dec. 6, as part of the East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans 2015 - 2016 season.

On August 24, 2014, NEWISES closed on Broadway. Exactly one year later, cast members from the hit Broadway musical came together on the stage of 54 Below to reminisce. In the lineup were songs of various music styles, stories and memories of their time with the show. Disney Theatrical Productions and The Orpheum Theatre announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated Memphis engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public on Friday, September 11 at 10:00 AM.  The Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at the Orpheum Theatre on Tuesday, December 8 for a limited engagement of eight performances through Sunday, December 13.   

The Playwrights Realm presents the New York Premiere of A Delicate Ship by Anna Ziegler, directed by Margot Bordelon. The production runs now through September 12, 2015, officially opening last night, August 27, 2015, at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 W. 42nd Street, NYC).
