The long-awaited UK premiere of Dreamgirls opens tonight, Wednesday 14 December at the Savoy Theatre in London, 35 years after originally opening on Broadway. To coincide with this evening's premiere, Sonia Friedman Productions just released brand new production shots for the show, which has been in preview performances since 19 November. Sonia Friedman Productions presents the long-awaited UK premiere of Dreamgirls, opening tonight 14 December 2016 and running at the Savoy Theatre until 6 May 2017. 

The cast of Disney's Aladdin, led by Adam Jacobs (Aladdin) and Tony Award-winner James Monroe Iglehart (Genie), will perform a never-before-seen version of the show-stopping production number 'Friend Like Me' live from the stage of the New Amsterdam Theatre on 'Good Morning America' today, December 13, 2016.

At a ceremony held today at London's Cafe de Paris, host Steve Furst announced the nominees for the 17th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards, the only major theatre prize-giving decided entirely by the theatregoers themselves.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway In Chicago announced today that tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Monday, December 5.  The hit Broadway musical will launch its North American tour in Chicago at the Cadillac Palace Theatre with performances beginning on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

Producer Kevin McCollum  just announced casting for the National Tour of Something Rotten!, the ten-time Tony-Award nominated smash hit musical comedy. Three of the current Broadway principals will be reprising their roles on tour: Rob McClure as Nick Bottom, Adam Pascal as Shakespeare and Josh Grisetti as Nigel Bottom.

Disney's ALADDIN features all your favourite songs from the film as well as new music written by Tony and Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Newsies) with lyrics penned by the legendary Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast), Tony Award winner Tim Rice (The Lion King, Aida), and book writer Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer).
