This May, an award-winning soprano will sing to support chronic neuro-immune disease awareness. On Saturday, May 13th, 25-year-old Jacqueline Ko will present the gala benefit concert Here I Stand at Marpole United Church. The show honours the May 12th International Awareness Day for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia (ME/CFS & FM), and a portion of every ticket sale supports the ME/FM Society of BC.
Englewood Doctor to Appear in Verismo Opera's AIDA

By day, Dr. James Garvin, Jr., M.D., Ph.D. works as a physician at the New York Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center. On April 23, Dr. Garvin will set his stethoscope aside and turn to a different forum -- the operatic stage of the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera's (Verismo Opera) AIDA at the Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC). He will assume a new supernumerary (super) role acting as an Egyptian guard.

The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera, a nonprofit organization based in Bergen County, New Jersey, announces tenor Giovanni Simone of Fort Lee, New Jersey will perform the Messenger in the company's grand production of Giuseppe Verdi's classic work, AIDA, on April 23, 2017. The opera will be performed at 3:00 p.m. at the Bergen Performing Arts Center, located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey.

Wilks Artistic Director of Cincinnati Opera, today announced that Cincinnati Opera will present the United States premiere of Another Brick in the Wall-The Opera, based on Roger Waters's legendary album The Wall, in celebration of the company's return to Cincinnati Music Hall for its 2018 Summer Festival. The production, scheduled for July 2018, will close Cincinnati Opera's 98th season, its first to be held at Music Hall following the building's $135 million revitalization.

Burke & Hare) by composer Julian Grant and librettist Mark Campbell follows November 8-12, 2017.
