NJTV, New Jersey's public television network, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) announced the artists who will perform in the second season of American Songbook at NJPAC, to be taped before a live audience at the Arts Center for a series to air on NJTV, WLIW and THIRTEEN this fall.

The Imagen Foundation has announced the nominees for the 29th Annual Imagen (Spanish for “image”) Awards, honoring portrayals of Latinos and Latino cultures in television and film. The awards will be presented at a gala black-tie dinner on Friday evening, August 1st, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel International Ballroom.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that John Leguizamo, Lynn Collins and Jim Belushi have joined the cast of Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego's upcoming drama for Atlas Independent and Relativity International, THE MAN ON CARRION ROAD. Set to star are Patrick Wilson and Ian McShane.

Performance Space 122, an East Village contemporary performance hub, announces the co-chairs of their Give Performance Space campaign, which coincides with the renovation of their over 30-year home at 150 1st Avenue. Give Performance Space is a capacity campaign to launch Performance Space 122's growth as an organization with the goal of better serving the artists and audiences of New York City. Today, The Ground Floor: Berkeley Rep's Center for the Creation and Development of New Work announces that it has selected 18 projects from more than 30 innovative artists for its third Summer Residency Lab. This June, as part of an extraordinary laboratory for collaboration, some of the nation's most prominent and promising writers, directors, and composers will unite at the Theatre's campus in West Berkeley for an intense four-week period to live, dine, and create new plays together. Dozens more local and out-of-town actors and directors will join The Ground Floor process, bringing the number of artists involved close to 100.

Sams also contributes new lyrics for Strauss's work, which will be performed entirely in English; Tony Award-nominated playwright Douglas Carter Beane makes his Met debut with new dialogue. Adam Fischer conducts a cast of rising opera stars and Broadway performers. The cast is led by Susanna Phillips and Christopher Maltman as the unhappily married Rosalinde and Eisenstein; Jane Archibald as Rosalinde's feisty maid, Adele; Anthony Roth Costanzo as Prince Orlofsky; Michael Fabiano as Rosalinde's former lover, Alfred; Paulo Szot as the bumbling Dr. Falke; and Patrick Carfizzi as the prison superintendent, Frank. Broadway stars Danny Burstein and Betsy Wolfe make Met debuts as the drunken jailer, Frosch, and Adele's sister, Ida. Deadline reports that HBO will tape John Leguizamo's one-man show, GHETTO KLOWN to debut on the cable network next spring.

Proving that a great show is always in fashion, Philadelphia Theatre Company closes its 2012-2013 season with Love, Loss and What I Wore on June 25-July 7 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre. This intimate collection of stories by sisters Nora and Delia Ephron and directed by Karen Carpenter is based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman. Like the popular book, the show uses clothing, accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories to which all women can relate. This production is presented by special arrangement with Daryl Roth.
