Show One Productions, founded in 2004 by Russian Impresario Svetlana Dvoretsky, is celebrating ten years of presenting internationally renowned artists, orchestras, dance companies and unique attractions in Toronto and across Canada. Beginning this spring, Show One will present a variety of special tenth anniversary performances, including the return of two of its favourite musical guests along with the Canadian premiere of a legendary theatre company.

Loblaw Companies Limited ('Loblaw') and its affiliates, the owners of Joe Fresh , announced the signing of three separate partnership agreements that bring the brand into 23 new countries. The agreements cover key growth markets in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and South Korea. The partnerships represent the first expansion for Joe Fresh beyond North America.

This Saturday, Angelwalk Theatre is hosting a special fundraising event featuring two of the greatest female musical theatre darlings in the city - Gabi Epstein and Jeni Walls. Liza & Barbra...Together at Last will feature Jeni as Liza and Gabi as Barbra, performing classic numbers of two of the stage's biggest stars. They will be backed by a live orchestra featuring new arrangements by music director and conductor Donavon LeNabat. And for the Jersey Boys fans among us, there will be a special guest appearance by our own Frankie Valli - Jeff Madden!
The fundraiser is to support Angelwalk's fifth anniversary season, celebrating their mission to produce off-Broadway style musical theatre in Toronto. There will be a silent auction, raffles and prizes. Best of all? Great music that everyone will know and love!

Peter Oundjian launches his tenth season as Music Director of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, with a feast of rich and powerful music. For Rhapsody in Blue (June 1 & 2), one of the most popular American concert works, conductor Bramwell Tovey will take to the piano to play Gershwin's beloved jazz-infused Piano Concerto. Before leading the orchestra in Elgar's Enigma Variations- a series of charming musical sketches about the composer's closest friends -Tovey, an eloquent host, will share some of the unsolved mysteries of the work's "secret" contents. The June 2nd performance is at the George Weston Recital Hall, Toronto Centre for the Arts and also features Bernstein's "Overture" to Candide.

Sinfonia Toronto has just announced its 2012-2013 season, the orchestra's 14th under the artistic direction of conductor Nurhan Arman. Next season the orchestra will again present a 7-concert Masterpiece Series featuring a rich variety of guest artists. All concerts except the season's opening concert will take place in Glenn Gould Studio. The series will open tonight, October 27 with a special Gala Concert at George Weston Recital Hall featuring the cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan. Mr. Hakhnazaryan became an instant sensation last June when he won the Gold Medal at the Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow. Tonight's October 27 concert with Sinfonia Toronto will be Mr. Hakhnazaryan's Canadian debut.

On Wednesday, November 10, 2010, the Toronto Centre for the Arts launches Out of Character: Intimate Portraits of Stage Stars, a five-part series that features some of Canada's most revered theatrical talent performing unplugged at the intimate George Weston Recital Hall, a venue renowned for its outstanding acoustics. Jackie Richardson, Len Cariou, Michael Burgess, Valerie Boyle, and Rebecca Caine have starred in major theatrical productions throughout North America - in Out of Character: Intimate Portraits of Stage Stars each of these immense theatrical talents will perform songs, monologues and stories, accompanied by musical director David Warrack.
