The Dramatists Guild Fund and Program Chairs Michael Korie, Laurence O'Keefe, and Diana Son have announced the 2016-2017 class of DG Fellows James Christy, Khiyon Hursey, Patricia Ione Lloyd, Michael R. Jackson, C.A. Johnson, David Mallamud, Zoey Martinson, Madeline Myers, Nicole Pandolfo, and Len Schiff.

George Street Playhouse Hosts Season Preview Event September 27

George Street Playhouse will host a special event to preview its groundbreaking 2016-17 season and celebrate the 20th anniversary of David Saint's tenure as artistic director on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at 6 p.m.  The evening will be highlighted by a performance from members of the cast of Daddy Long Legs and a meet-and-greet with cast members from the season-opening Mama's Boy.

Horn, closes its 2016 season with the New York premiere of Daniel's Husband by Michael McKeever from September 23 through October 16, 2016. Zimmerli Art Museum To Open THINKING PICTURES: MOSCOW CONCEPTUAL ART, Today

Opening on September 6, the exhibition, Thinking Pictures will introduce audiences to the artists and work that defined the development and evolution of conceptual art in Moscow in the 1970s and 1980s. Thinking Pictures opens with Vitaly Komar and Alexander Melamid's pivotal 1973 installation, Apelles Ziablov (The World's First Abstract Art, Painting from the 18th Century by the Serf Artist), which features a series of paintings and artist-created archival material that present the artists' sudden discovery: an original creator of abstract art, the semi-fictional character Apelles Ziablov. The work, at once humorous and incisively critical of authority, whether governmental or historic, encapsulates the underlying spirit of the diverse practices and approaches that comprise "Moscow Conceptualism."
