Florida Repertory Theatre announces general auditions for Equity Performers and Local Professionals for roles in its 12th season. Auditions will be held at the Arcade Theatre on Monday, May 11 (2pm-7pm) and Tuesday, May 12 (10am-3pm).

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced that the New York premiere of Lynn Redgrave's NIGHTINGALE and the New York premiere of Polly Stenham's THAT FACE will be a part of Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming 2009-2010 Off-Broadway season at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

By George Productions presents the Los Angeles premiere of Cole Porter's 1936 hit musical comedy, 'Red, Hot and Blue!' With a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, this was the team's follow-up to 'Anything Goes.' This Depression era screwball comedy deals with a National Lottery offering a first prize to anyone who finds a long-lost love with a rare identification mark.

Lakewood Theatre Company will celebrate its 57th anniversary season with six productions beginning July 10, 2009. Season tickets for the 2009-2010 season are on sale now and prices range from $140.00 - $150.00. Performances for the new season will be Thursday -Saturday at 7:30 PM, Sundays at 7:00 PM and some Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM.

The Board of Trustees of La Jolla Playhouse announces the appointment of Michael S. Rosenberg as the Playhouse's new Managing Director. A veteran producer in both the not-for-profit and commercial theatre worlds, Rosenberg will begin full time duties on May 4, 2009.

Artistic Director Robert Falls announced today the final production of Goodman Theatre's 2009/2010 season-The Good Negro, Tracey Scott Wilson's 'thunderous...stunning' (Variety) new play, comes to Chicago fresh from its off-Broadway run at The Public Theater. Resident Director Chuck Smith, who previously collaborated with Wilson on the Goodman's 2004/2005 Chicago-premiere production of The Story, will direct The Good Negro in the Albert Theatre in Spring 2010.

On Wednesday, April 1st, Lauren Graham, star of GUYS AND DOLLS on Broadway, will be featured on The View. Then, on Friday, April 3rd, Graham will be featured on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The View airs on ABC, channel 7 in the tri-state area and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon airs on NBC, channel 4 in the tri-state area.

2nd Story Theatre announces two classic Pulitzer Prize-winning comedies for its 2009 summer series, from July 8 - September 6. The snappy 'You Can't Take It with You' by Kaufman and Hart breaks out on July 8 and runs through August 2, followed by the magical 'Harvey' by Mary Chase, from August 12 through September 6.

Keen Company (Artistic Director Carl Forsman, Executive Director Wayne Kelton) is thrilled to present John Cullum, Jonathan Hogan and Tony Roberts in the New York premiere of Heroes, by G?rald Sibleyras with a translation by Tom Stoppard and directed by Carl Forsman. Heroes received the 2006 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy. Performances begin on Tuesday, February 24 and run through April 11 at The Clurman Theatre / Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues. Opening is scheduled for Sunday, March 8.

'This is a fairy story--the story of Cinderella and the Four Ugly Corporation Directors. Once upon a time, not so long ago, Cinderella went down to Wall Street. Not in a golden coach drawn by six white horses, but in the I.R.T. subway...' Open Eye's production about corporate corruption in 1950's America weaves together film and theatre to prove that some things never change, especially in business.

The New York Times is revealing that while the current Broadway revival of 'Guys and Dolls' opened on Sunday night to widespread negative reviews, the producers held discussions today about the show's future and have decided to keep it running as they believe in the quality of the production. The first step post opening is to focus on advertising and marketing as the reviews give those department less than helpful quotes to nab for media attention.

The first joint Broadway project by two-time Tony Award winning director Des McAnuff and choreographer Sergio Trujillo since their collaboration on the Tony Award winning musical Jersey Boys, Guys and Dolls began previews on February 5, 2009 at Broadway's newly refurbished Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). The cast celebrated Opening Night on March 1, 2009 and BroadwayWorld's cameras greeted the starry arrivals.
