The Little Orchestra Society announces its Spring Benefit, hosted by two-time Tony Award winning actress Donna Murphy, to follow the premiere of Disney Fantasia Live in Concert on Friday, April 26 at Avery Fisher Hall.

The Players Guild of Leonia presents Crazy for You, featuring book by Ken Ludwig and music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin. The production is directed by Chris Watson and runs tonight, April 12-28, 2013.

The hit musical comedy Nice Work If You Can Get It, which recently welcomed Tony Award nominee Jessie Mueller, John Treacy Egan and Conrad John Schuck to the production, celebrated one year on Broadway after yesterday's matinee. Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre revealed the seventh show selected for its upcoming season. The Tony Award-winning nonprofit will begin its 46th year of smart and adventurous shows with Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, the hilarious Broadway hit from three-time Obie Award-winner Christopher Durang. Respected director Richard E.T. White returns to the Bay Area to stage this hugely popular show in September.

Described as having the dazzling technique and 'wild passion' of Vladimir Horowitz, the footwork of Fred Astaire and the glam sensibility of David Bowie, renegade organist Cameron Carpenter will make his Houston debut tonight, April 10, at 8 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral (1117 Texas Avenue), presented by Society for the Performing Arts.

The Music of Vernon Duke played for five shows, April 6-8, 2013, at the 92nd Street Y. The show featured the talents of Heidi Blickenstaff, James Clow, Erin Mackey, Matthew Scott, and three-time Tony Award nominee Rebecca Luker.

According to Variety, producers Mike Medavoy and Bobby Geisler are developing a revamped film version of The Gershwins' opera Porgy and Bess. Medavoy and Geisler are collaborating with the Gershwin family and lyricist DuBose Heyward's estate for the updated film.

Inspired by the Broadway of Cole Porter and George Gershwin, this story of a girl, a gown, and a glass slipper will keep your toes tapping 'til the stroke of midnight. This original adaptation of Cinderella marks the close of NW Children's Theater's 20th Anniversary Season, and is NWCT's second world premiere this year, running April 27-May 26, 2013. The National Tour of THE GERSHWINS' PORGY AND BESS, winner of the 2012 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, will star original Broadway cast members ALICIA HALL MORAN as Bess and NATHANIEL STAMPLEY as Porgy. The national tour, which begins in the late fall of 2013 will travel to more than 20 cities in its first season, including Los Angeles (Ahmanson Theatre), Seattle (5th Avenue Theatre), Dallas (Winspear Opera House), Charlotte, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Des Moines, Tampa, Las Vegas, Cleveland, West Palm Beach, Tempe and St. Paul, with additional cities to be announced in the coming days.

The 2013 Boston Pops season, May 8-June 15, under the direction of Keith Lockhart, will present a season-long tribute to the world of movie music, along with programs featuring a wide variety of American musical styles, including jazz, bluegrass, country, gospel, pop, classic standards from the 50s and 60s, and show-stopping songs of Broadway and the American Songbook. For the programs focusing on the season theme, 'Best of Hollywood Film Music,' audiences will hear their favorite music from classic movies and today's popular soundtracks performed live by the Boston Pops, while the accompanying movie clips are projected onto a giant screen suspended above the orchestra. Light Opera Works artistic director Rudy Hogenmiller will star as the Master of Ceremonies in CABARET, August 10-25, at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston. It will mark Hogenmiller's first stage appearance anywhere since assuming the artistic director title in 2005.

New York City Ballet's 2013 Spring Season will open with a three-week American Music Festival featuring 25 ballets and music by 17 American composers. This festival will also mark the 25th anniversary of the 1998 American Music Festival, during which NYCB presented more than 20 new works to the music of American composers.

The Harlem Resonance Festival (tonight, April 2 - May 11) is Symphony Space's second annual multi-disciplinary thematic spring festival, following last year's celebration of Gertrude Stein's Paris.
