Northwestern Announces Their March Events Calendar

A rock musical based on The Who's iconic 1969 concept album 'Tommy' and an adaptation of an award-winning dystopian novel by Margaret Atwood will be staged in March by the Theatre and Interpretation Center (TIC) at Northwestern University. Both are part of the inaugural Masters-in-the-Making series, which showcases the talents of third-year master of fine arts (MFA) students.

The Theatre and Interpretation Center (TIC) at Northwestern University will present three productions in its new Masters-in-the-Making series staged by the theatre directors of tomorrow. The winter plays, part of TIC's 2009-10 mainstage season, represent the final thesis productions of third-year students in the Northwestern School of Communication's MFA Directing Program.

The Theatre and Interpretation Center at Northwestern University will continue its 2008-09 season in May with the two remaining Mainstage productions: an adaptation of a Pierre Corneille classic, and a Holocaust drama by Israeli playwright and director Joshua Sobol. It also will present a Wallis Works-In-Progress adaptation of a story by Zimbabwean doctor and celebrated writer J. Nozipo Maraire.
