Photo Flash: Stewart Lane et al. Honored at ARTrageous Gala to Raise Funds for EGSCF

At this year's ARTrageous Gala, more than 500 supporters gathered at Cipriani Wall Street to raise funds and awareness for the over 16,000 foster children in New York City. The money raised from the ARTrageous event benefits Edwin Gould Services for Children and Families (EGSCF). For more than 85 years, this non-profit organization has been serving and protecting children residing in foster care in New York City. Over the past decade ARTrageous has been a huge success, raising more than $15 million. Today, EGSCF is one of the top Foster Care Agencies in New York City.

Dallas Theater Center Names Joel Ferrell Associate Artistic Director

Dallas Theater Center Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty announced today that DTC Associate Artist Joel Ferrell has been promoted to Associate Artistic Director. In his new position, Ferrell will continue to direct and choreograph plays and musicals at DTC, while also expanding his role as the lead producer of DTC's mainstage productions. Ferrell will work closely with guest directors and designers to oversee productions from the initial creative process, including design and casting, through the productions' rehearsals and performances. Ferrell began working for DTC on a freelance basis in the late 1990s and joined the artistic staff on a full time basis in 2009.

Guggenheim Announces Extended Holiday Hours For Maurizio Cattelan: ALL Exhibition

To accommodate public response to the popular exhibition Maurizio Cattelan: All, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum will remain open for an additional two hours on Mondays, beginning December 26, and Tuesdays, beginning December 6, through the remainder of the exhibition until it closes on January 22, 2012. The extended hours on those dates will be offered from 10 am until 7:45 pm. The museum store will be open until 8:15 pm on the late evenings and the Wright restaurant will offer extended hours for bar service with a drink and snack menu until 7 pm.
