I am excited to announce that Ewan McGregor will star in our upcoming production of The Real Thing by Tom Stoppard, directed by Sam Gold, at the American Airlines Theatre. In order to accommodate Ewan's busy schedule, The Real Thinghas been moved to Fall 2014, with previews starting in early October. We will be announcing the spring 2014 production taking its place very soon.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) has announced a new edition of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning August: Osage County by Tracy Letts. This edition coincides with the December 25 release of a major motion picture adaptation from The Weinstein Company starring Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Chris Cooper, Dermot Mulroney, Sam Shepard, Juliette Lewis and Ewan McGregor.
Providence Equity Partners Reaches Agreement To Become Majority Shareholder In ATG

The Ambassador Theatre Group Ltd (ATG) today announces that an agreement has been reached for global private equity firm Providence Equity Partners to become a major shareholder in the company, having successfully reached agreement for its seventh fund to purchase a majority share from current investors led by Exponent Private Equity.

Lionsgate & OddLot Entertainment Finalize Multi-Picture Distribution Deal

Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) and OddLot Entertainment have formed a multiyear, multipicture co-financing and distribution deal beginning with OddLot's co-financing of the action comedy Mortdecai starring Johnny Depp, the two companies announced today. The arrangement provides a framework for Lionsgate and OddLot to co-produce and co-finance additional pictures that may be sourced by either party, and it provides OddLot with access to committed distribution on certain pictures.
