The French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, is thrilled to unveil major renovations to Florence Gould Hall this Wednesday, September 28 with the opening performance of pioneering British theatre company Forced Entertainment's premiere of Tomorrow's Parties. 

Jazz icon Esperanza Spalding comes to Mayo Performing Arts Center as she presents Emily's D+Evolution on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 8 pm.

?GABRIELLE STRAVELLI - the celebrated pop/jazz vocalist and songwriter called an "outstanding singer" by The Wall Street Journal and "hotter than the equator" by The Village Voice - will introduce a new evening celebrating the legendary songwriters Johnny Mercer and Hoagy Carmichael at Kitano Jazz (66 Park Avenue at 38th Street) on Wednesday, July 13 with sets at 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM. In addition to well-known standards by Mercer ("Dream") and Carmichael ("Stardust") and compositions they wrote together ("Skylark," "In The Cool Cool Cool of the Evening"), the show includes collaborations with other composers and lyricists. The evening also features rare material by the pair from their Broadway Show I Walk With Music and movies from the 1950s and 60s. She will be joined by Art Hirahara on piano, Pat O'Leary on bass and Eric Halvorson on drums.

?Acclaimed vocalist GABRIELLE STRAVELLI and celebrated jazz pianist MICHAEL KANAN will release the powerfully intimate new duet recording Stairway to the Stars on June 24. The album is currently available in digital formats. Stairway to the Stars is produced by Gabrielle Stravelli and Pat O'Leary. 

The annual All-Female Jazz Residency of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), a week long, summer intensive for aspiring women jazz professionals, will take place at Rutgers-Newark this July.  

New Hampshire-based singer-songwriter Elytta will be performing at the Spotlight Cafe at the Capitol Center for the Arts on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 8PM. A portion of the proceeds from this performance will go to the non-profit organization behind the documentary film 'Community is Greater than Heroin'. The Spotlight Cafe is a "pop-up" venue located in the Capitol Center's Governor's Hall.

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) welcomes globally recognized hip hop soul artist Musiq Soulchild on Friday, June 10th at 8PM. See Musiq Soulchild in this much anticipated concert perform hits 'Love,' 'Half Crazy' plus his infectious hot new single 'I Do' from his recently released new album, Life On Earth. The Exchange today announced the artists and companies selected to participate in the 2016 Orchard Project summer residency program in Saratoga Springs, NY. Twenty-six artists and ensembles were selected from nearly 800 theatre artists to develop their big, new ideas at the Orchard Project this coming summer.

Nearly 900 graduates from 68 countries received degrees today at Berklee's 2016 commencement. Berklee President Roger H. Brown presented honorary doctor of music degrees to music legends Rita Moreno, the Isley Brothers, Lucian Grainge, and Milton Nascimento. Moreno delivered the commencement address to the graduating class and an estimated audience of nearly 7,000 guests at the Agganis Arena. The annual commencement concert, held the previous evening at the Agganis Arena, featured some of the college's most accomplished students paying tribute to the honorees with performances of music associated with their careers.
