Round House Theatre launches its 2013/2014 Bethesda season with the hauntingly humorous tragicomedy The Beauty Queen of Leenane by esteemed playwright Martin McDonagh, which runs August 21 thru September 15. The sordid tale of Leopold and Loeb is the subject of NEVER THE SINNER now receiving a strong production at 1st Stage in Tysons. Directed by Jeremy Skidmore, the play is carefully crafted and is a winning blend of theatrical bravura, sexual tension, calculating criminals, and period flair. Stephen Russell Murray and Alex Mandell also give tour-de-force performances.

Casting has been announced for The Hub Theatre's spring production of LAUREN YEE's time-bending comedy, A MAN, HIS WIFE AND HIS HAT. SASHA OLINICKleads the cast as Hetchman, a retired hatmaker and title character of the piece. Olinick earned rave reviews as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the Round House Theatre production of AMADEUS. This production marks his debut with The Hub Theatre.

Signature Theatre (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) welcomes Claire van der Boom (HBO's "The Pacific" & CBS' "Hawaii Five-0") to the cast of Sam Shepard's HEARTLESS, directed by Daniel Aukin. Claire van der Boom will play the role of 'Sally', replacing Julianne Nicholson whose prior commitments prevent her from performing during the two week extension through Sunday, September 30. HEARTLESS is now playing in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Tickets during the extension weeks are $75 each.
