Berkshire Theatre Group is pleased to announce the 13th annual community production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Adapted by Eric Hill and directed by Travis Daly, this production will be presented for the eighth time at The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield. A Christmas Carol runs December 8 through December 22.

Hailed as one of the great playwrights of all-time, Nobel Prize-winner Luigi Pirandello's Naked, in a new version by Nicholas Wright, delves deep into the struggle of self-identity, and the tendency to skew reality to benefit desires of the heart. Directed by Eric Hill (BTG: At Home at the Zoo, The Homecoming, Poe), Naked follows the story of a woman, in the midst of questioning her existence, as the men around her impose their view of her into the world.

Berkshire Theatre Group seeks non-equity actors for its annual community production of A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, adapted by Eric Hill and directed by Travis Daly, running December 8 through December 22 at The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, MA.

At each turn, characters undergo significant changes in personality, demeanor, and motivation. It can be both exhilarating and at times slightly confusing for audience members to watch the characters twist along with the plot. It is rewarding, however, as we are entertained by an exploration of the psychological defense of denial along the journey to one's truth.

Opening night is set for Saturday, September 29 at 7pm. Theatre Puget Sound (TPS) and the Gregory Awards announced today that Broadway's Don Darryl Rivera will host the 10th Annual Gregory Awards, live at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall at the Seattle Center on Monday, October 22 (7:30pm). This will be Rivera's first time hosting the Gregory Awards, though he has been nominated three times since 2009, most recently receiving Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical in last year's ceremony.

Berkshire Theatre Group and Artistic Director/CEO Kate Maguire have announced additions to the 2018 fall and winter seasons.

Chesterwood will present a staged reading of "The Lincoln Family Album", written and moderated by noted Lincoln scholar Harold Holzer, on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 5 p.m. in Daniel Chester French's Studio. The presentation is the third program Holzer has written and narrated for Chesterwood and follows the success of previous sold-out performances of Holzer's "Lincoln Speaks."

Critics J.
