Akad?meia Theatre presents Miss Nowhere Diner, a play about the power of faith, the lure of deceit by Kathleen Potts. Lydia Fort directs a cast of six including Branden Baskin, Lex Daemon, Salina Duplessis, Jennifer Roberts, Miriam Tabb, and Corey Wright*. Six performances for Miss Nowhere Diner will be held at the Robert Moss Theatre, 440 Lafayette Street, NYC from tonight, June 13-23 as part of The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. The Festivity will take place May 29th through June 23rd at Gene Frankel and Robert Moss Theatres in New York City. *Member, Actors' Equity Association. AEA Showcase.

After an acclaimed premiere in San Diego, Wonderlist Productions and Neighborhood Productions presents the New York Premiere of BUREAU OF MISSING PERSONS by award-winning playwright Lila Rose Kaplan. Directed by Sarah Rasmussen, the production begins previews begin June 14 at New York Theatre Workshop's 4th Street Theater. Opening is slated for June 19.

Firehouse Theatre has announced the winner of the 11th Annual Festival of New American Plays, Kelly Younger's This World We Know. Based in Los Angeles, Younger is an award-winning playwright with work staged off-Broadway, regionally, and internationally. The Festival took place June 6 - 9, generously sponsored by Carole Weinstein.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Retrop Productions will present JULIAN PO, a new musical with book and lyrics by Andrew Barrett and music by Ira Antelis, from July 8 to 14, 2013. JULIAN PO, which mixes comedy and drama, opens in New York after a critically-acclaimed, sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it was nominated for "Best Book of a Musical." JULIAN PO, based on the book La mort de monsieur Golouja by Branimir Š?epanovi? and the screenplay "Julian Po" by Alan Wade, features elements of pop, rock, country, bluegrass and gospel. JULIAN PO is an official selection of The New York Musical Theatre Festival's "2013 Next Link Project." The show is directed by Kirsten Sanderson with music direction by Mark Hartman.

Award-winning playwright David Koteles' play After the Chairs, directed by Jason Jacobs is an official selection of the 2013 All Out Arts, Inc.'s Fresh Fruit Festival, and will be presented July 10th - 14th at The Wild Project (195 E. 3rd Street).

Berkshire Playwrights Lab will present its first full workshop production, Anna Ziegler's Life Science directed by Joe Cacaci, June 19 through June 30 (press opening June 21) at Bard College at Simon's Rock Daniel Arts Center (84 Alford Road, Great Barrington, Mass.). The production will run Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm, with the exception of the Saturday, June 22 performance, which will begin at 9:30pm.

That was the idea that led to this musical, Annie Golden: Bounty Hunter, Yo, which uses the conventions---both theatrical and musical---of 70's blaxploitation films to tell the story of a widowed down-on-her-luck theatre actress who becomes a bounty hunter and goes on a journey of self-discovery and serious ass-kicking.

BEN RIMALOWER: "PATTI ISSUES" - the hit Off Broadway solo play hailed as "ecstatically vivid" by The New York Times and praised for its "wit, feeling and conviction" by Time Out New York - has added a second performance for its Chicago premiere due to high ticket demand. In addition to the show on Thursday, June 13, there will be an additional show on Friday, June 14. Both will be at Mary's Attic at 8:00 PM. After rave reviews and a host of awards, the New York production of "PATTI ISSUES" was recently extended for the sixth time and will run through June 29 at The Duplex in the West Village. Berkshire Theatre Group presents James Goldman's The Lion in Winter at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage in Stockbridge opening on June 29 at 8pm. Previews begin June 25 at 8pm and closing is on July 13 at 8pm.

The forthcoming Broadway production REAR WINDOW has found its creative team in playwright Keith Reddin(Too Much Memory, Life and Limb) and director Terry Kinney (reasons to be pretty, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest). The play will be adapted from Cornell Woolrich's original short story, the iconic and haunting tale of the wheelchair-bound witness to a possible murder in his neighboring New York City apartment.

terraNOVA COLLECTIVE and Producing Artistic Director, Jennifer Conley Darling, are pleased to present acclaimed mime, Bill Bowers' BEYOND WORDS, straight from a White House engagement to the west village: BEYOND WORDS will be a special headliner to kick off the 10TH Annual soloNOVA Arts Festival, the award-winning and longest-running solo performance festival in New York City, performing today, May 22 at 8pm and Saturday May 25 at 2pm at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street, NYC). The eight other solo shows included in the soloNOVA Arts Festival will play two weeks only at IRT Theater (154 Christopher Street, inside the landmark Archive Building). Actor/sword fighters Jacqueline Ann Holloway and Robert Westley will be joining NYCB dancers Jared Angle and Megan LeCrone and members of the Sebastians Chamber Orchestra for On Point: From Duel to Pas de Deux, to be presented by Salon/Sanctuary Concerts.
