Presented by American Repertory of WNY, Directed by Matthew LaChiusa, HATFUL OF RAIN, is written by the Academy Award nominated actor known from GODFATHER II (Frank 'Five Angels' Pentangeli), Michael V Gazzo. Starting out as a Broadway playwright and writing for film (including the screenplay for Elvis Presley's KING CREOLE),Gazzo was an instrumental figure in the Actors Studio and went on to film and TV acting until his death in 1995.

Strip headliner Pia Zadora joined the cast of the smash-hit musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTETonstage for a special encore performance at Harrah's Las Vegas, singing a rendition of Brenda Lee's 'Sweet Nothings.' Following the finale of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, Zadora was welcomed to the stage with applause from the crowded Showroom. Audiences cheered and sang along to the rockabilly tune, giving Zadora and the cast a standing ovation at the conclusion of the performance. Scroll down for photos!

What does it mean when we say someone is cool? Cool carries a social charge of rebellious self-expression, charisma, edge and mystery. 'American Cool' will feature 100 photographs of icons who have contributed an original artistic vision to American culture and are symbolic figures of their time. The exhibition will be open at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery today, Feb. 7 through Sept. 7.

Gregory reveals the sometimes tragic side of the man who recorded over 50 hit singles from 1957-1975 from "Lonely Teardrops" to "(Your Love Keeps Liftin' Me) Higher and Higher" and inspired generations of entertainers from Elvis Presley to Al Green to Michael Jackson.

A whole lotta shakin' will be goin' on when the music of Elvis Presley comes to life in the TexARTS Teen Musical Theatre Academy production of All Shook Up. This production is brought to the stage by the creative team of director Keenah Armitage (B'way's Jesus Christ Superstar, Aida) and choreographer Kiira Schmidt. Schmidt performed on Broadway in the recent revival of Follies and served as an assistant choreographer on NBC's Smash.

Festival of Brazilian Dance Set for The Joyce Theater, 2/24-3/1

The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. will present a three week showcase of Brazilian dance from February 26 - March 16. Three Brazilian-based companies will be making their Joyce Theater debuts during the festival: Mimulus Companhia de Danca (Belo Horizonte) from February 24-March 1; Companhia Urbana de Danca (Rio de Janeiro) from March 3-6, a co-presentation with 651 ARTS; and Focus Cia de Danca (Rio de Janeiro) from March 8-10. These acclaimed companies will be joined by audience favorite DanceBrazil, closing out the festival from March 12-16. Tickets for all companies range in price from $10 to $49 ($26 to $37 for Joyce Members) and can be purchased through JoyceCharge at www.Joyce.org, or by calling 212-242-0800.
