Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, the riveting stage version of the new supernatural blues and roots musical from author Stephen King, musician John Mellencamp and producer/songwriter T Bone Burnett, will play Hennepin Theatre Trust's State Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013. This haunting tale of fraternal love, lust, jealousy and revenge will be performed by an ensemble cast of 15 actors and a four-piece live band. The album of the musical (Concord Music Group), featuring such artists as Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow, Neko Case and Kris Kristofferson, will be released on June 4. According to the Associated Press, Chuck Lorre, creator of 'Two and a Half Men' and 'The Big Bang Theory' is teaming up with Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello to write a new musical based on Costello's album 'Painted From Memory.' Lorre would write the show's book, and Bacharach and Costello are writing additional music.
