That cultish assemblage that likes to recite my reviews from memory on open mic nights at the Nuyorican Poets Café (it's weird being an icon for the culturally disenfranchised) may notice many similarities between my following scribblings on Lincoln Center Theater's Broadway production of Horton Foote's Dividing The Estate and my review of this mounting's original Off-Broadway run last season at Primary Stages. But if director Michael Wilson can do a cut and paste job, with minor adjustments here and there, there's no reason I can't do the same.

Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit began preview performances on Thursday, February 26, 2009 and opened on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the Shubert Theatre (West 44th Street). We were there to capture all the starry arrivals at opening night!

Phylicia Rashad has been announced to step into the role of Violet Weston in the Broadway production of August: Osage County. Rashad will follow Deanna Dunagan and Estelle Parsons in the part and will join the show on May 26.

February 3rd, 2009 was a very special day at the Music Box Theatre because August: Osage County celebrated its 500th performance (that's a lot of drugs, fights, fish and smashed plates!), BroadwayWorld sent in the cameras to capture all the 'family fun'! THE NEIGHBORHOOD PLAYHOUSE SCHOOL OF THE THEATRE will celebrate its 80th Anniversary with a gala and reunion for alumni, patrons, faculty and students of the renowned school which is one of the oldest theatre institutions in New York City.
