'Downton Abbey' will return to MASTERPIECE on PBS for a fifth season.

On the heels of the UK series announcing its renewal, PBS has confirmed that Downton Abbey, the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning drama will return to MASTERPIECE on PBS for a fifth season. Production will begin in 2014.

ONE of Shakespeare's darkest comedies is brought to life in a shortened version at The Marlowe Studio next month.

Hampstead Downstairs/The Peter Wolff Trust present GODCHILD by Deborah Bruce, directed by Michael Attenborough and designed by Francesca Ready, with lighting design by Oliver Fenwick and sound design by John Leonard. The show runs tonight, 31 October - 30 November 2013. Pearl Chandra, Michael Shaeffer and Chook Sibtain join Tracy-Ann Oberman in Deborah Bruce's dark comedy.

Today the Rose Theatre Kingston announced its 2014 Season. 2014 will see the theatre continue to produce Rose Productions as well as embarking on new and exciting partnerships, sharing skills and resources with other theatre companies and venues to create top quality theatre. Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announced today the release ofChicago Shakespeare Theater: Suiting the Action to the Word, a collection of original essays that furthers the study of William Shakespeare in performance and stagecraft through the exploration of the Theater's first twenty-five years. Respected scholars, artists and theater critics view Shakespeare through the lens of the theater's artistry, bringing together professional observations and scholarly examinations of CST Artistic Director Barbara Gaines's productions as well as collaborations with world-renowned directors who have worked at CST, including Michael Bogdanov(The Winter's Tale - 2003); Edward Hall (Rose Rage: Henry VI, Parts 1, 2, and 3 - 2004) and Josie Rourke (The Taming of the Shrew - 2010).

Antony Sher as Sigmund Freud leads a cast of David Horovitch, Adrian Schiller and Lydia Wilson in Terry Johnson's Hysteria at the Hamstead Theatre, a hilarious and insightful farce that raises intriguing questions about freud's radical revision of his theories on hysteria. The production runs Thursday 5 September to Saturday 12 October 2013.

The Hampstead Thetare has unveiled its Autumn 2013 season, including HYSTERIA, directed by Terry Johnson and starring Antony Sher as Sigmund Freud. Edward Hall will also direct the world premiere of RAVING by Simon Paisley Day, with Tamzin Outhwaite leading the cast.

Pocket Merchant, a 60-minute version of The Merchant of Venice, will be based on Propeller's acclaimed 2008/09 production. The Guthrie Theater continues its 2012-13 season with the British company Propeller's all-male, modern and physical productions of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and The Taming of the Shrew, directed by Propeller artistic director Edward Hall. According to reports, West End's CHARIOTS OF FIRE has posted an early closing date of Saturday January 5, 2013 at the Gielgud Theatre. It was originally set to close on February 2.
