Court Theatre kicks off its 2009-10 season with August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom directed by Resident Artist Ron OJ Parson. The production will run September 17 - October 18, 2009 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue. The press opening will be Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.

Her new show will mix classic Supremes hits like 'You Can't Hurry Love,' 'My World Is Empty Without You' and 'Reflections,' with favorites from the Great American Songbook. All shows will take place at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

In conjunction with Fences, the opening production in its 2009-2010 Season of American Stories, the Huntington Theatre Company partners with Roxbury Community College to present August Wilson's Legacy, a celebration of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright's work and a discussion with acclaimed Wilson director Kenny Leon and a diverse panel of local artists who will look ahead to the next generation.

Directed by Scott Elliott, this production plays a limited Off-Broadway run May 4 - June 27 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street), with Official Opening Night on Monday, May 18 at 8:00 PM.

The T Fellowship, the ambitious Theater program created in an effort to encourage, support and develop a new generation of creative theatrical producers, is now seeing the first yield of its considerable efforts with the critical hit GROUNDSWELL, the U.S. premiere of the award-winning play by Ian Bruce and directed by Scott Elliott.
