Everyman Theatre's Baltimore will close the 09/10 season with the premiere of Blackbird, Examines the Boundaries of Love, May 12 through June 13. Blackbird, a haunting, powerful drama that has left London and New York audiences breathless. The Baltimore premiere directed by Derek Goldman will star Everyman Resident Company member Megan Anderson and David Parkes in his Everyman debut. Experience the historic sounds of the United Kingdom as the music comes alive through the pipes, drums and highland dancers of The Band of the Irish Guards and the Royal Regiment of Scotland, in Jacksonville at the Times Union Center's Moran Theater on Tuesday, March 23rd at 7:30PM for one night only!

The grandeur, pomp and pageantry of the British Empire come to Sarasota on Sunday, Mar. 21at 7 p.m. when the Band of the Irish Guards joins with the pipes and drums of the Royal Regiment of Scotland for a spirit-soaring evening of marches, ballads and folk songs. A special Pre-Show event will be presented on stage at 6:15 p.m. by The Mighty Sarasota Military Academy Drum Line.

In March 2010, the New-York Historical Society will present the first large-scale exhibition of materials from the Grateful Dead Archive. Drawn almost exclusively from the Archive housed at the University of California Santa Cruz, Grateful Dead: Now Playing at the New-York Historical Society, will chronicle the history of the Grateful Dead, its music, and phenomenal longevity through an array of original art and documents related to the band, its members, performances, and productions.

Internationally acclaimed theater ensemble Mabou Mines celebrates 40 years of creating groundbreaking theater with the world premiere of 'FINN', a digital and live-action adventure based on the ancient Celtic legend of Finn McCool opening on Thursday, March 4th (8PM) at Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place). Conceived & directed by Mabou Mines Co-Artistic Director Sharon Fogarty, and written by Jocelyn Clarke, this original theatrical work blends traditional storytelling and music with large-scale digital technology. Finn McCool, part mortal, part magical, battles his boyhood demons and emerges a young man ready to lead his band of men. Live performers interact with digital animation in a 21st century adaptation of a timeless legend. FINN is produced by Mabou Mines in association with Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, New York University.
