BroadwayWorld has learned that a Trump supporter interrupted the Saturday evening performance of Hamilton in Chicago. An audience member seated in the balcony allegedly shouted 'We won! You Lost! Get over it! F*ck you!' during the number 'Dear Theodosia.'

"This production is certainly no fairytale musical," said Jeremy Baker, dramaturge and translator of INTO THE WOODS. Yes, the well-known Broadway musical with Stephen Sondheim's music about Cinderella, Little Red Ridinghood, Rapunzel and Jack (from the Beanstalk) which has recently been transformed into a Disney movie, is no fairytale musical. On Inauguration Day in the United States, an event of resistance and unity will take place in 14 cities across the country, bringing together people of all ages, colors and political dispositions to share their personal stories about the 2016 election. The Election Monologues will take place in theaters and public spaces throughout America, where groups of 6-10 people will share monologues about how the election has affected them.
